Re: Lego DC 2012...

yea, the Funhouse is supposed to be back in stock at the beginning of March.

I have the Green Lantern Bionicle. Need more GL sets

Re: Lego DC 2012...

So far I just picked up the Batwing, Batmobile, and the Funhouse. I really hope that we get to see TDKR sets soon. Darn all this waiting

Re: Lego DC 2012...

I don't know how many sets they'd make though. 1 -2 perhaps? Tumbler and Batwing? So far I don't see a lot more than that being possible from the trailer. Unless they go Pirates of the Caribbean and just make a bunch of sets from all the films. A Joker Semi would be pretty cool.

As for comic based items, I love the idea of Wonder Woman's invisble jet out of clear bricks. And clear green bricks have GL written all over them! And I'd actually like to see some love for Jonah Hex! Lego has made tons of Western stuff over the years so its right up their alley and they've already got the parts for it!

Re: Lego DC 2012...

A camo Tumbler with Bane and the Bat or Batpod would be nice :)

Re: Lego DC 2012...

Got Catwoman, Lex, Two-face, and the Batwing sets today from Amazon. With WW in the LEx set, I got an Amazon from Amazon! :D

I'm going from big to small, so I'm starting with Catwoman. I didn't realize how much I've missed putting Legos together! And Man, they've improved in the last few years. They were just starting the alternate faces and flesh tones when I stopped collecting and now they've got details on their back now too! I guess I'm easily impressed :lol

Re: Lego DC 2012...

Anybody know if Lego has plans just to do the figure sold by themselves. I like mini block figures, but don't have room/money for the sets.

They MIGHT do a "Minifig Magnet Set" like they did with the Star Wars figures. I'd keep an eye out on Lego.com or your local Lego store for those.

Also be sure to snatch up the keychains as well if you see them! Even if you want to resell them later, some of the rare ones can gather some cash. And Lego keeps a good stock of them when they first come out.

Re: Lego DC 2012...

Oh guys,

If you're looking for a REALLY cool "custom" Tumbler or Burton Batmobile, check this guy's stuff out.

https://stores.ebay.com/Artifex-Creation/_i.html?rt=nc&_sid=932330959&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=1

He buys sets, goes to the Lego store, etc. and collects all the pieces required so he can keep on selling his custom sets to all of us.

I bought both the Tumbler and Burtonmobile from him. AWESOME pieces and he even has very professional printed directions with them. Quick shipping and all pieces were accounted for. On top of that, they look AWESOME (just like his pics) when they're finished. The Tumbler even has the Batpod which can "blow out" of it and the Burtonmobile has the "Batmissile" from Batman Returns.

ONLY one con (other than price if that is a issue for you, but considering what we pay for Hot Toys figures...well...its a drop in the bucket!) is that you might need some extra pieces to "reinforce" parts of them. For example, the Burtonmobile can easily detach the sides for the Batmissile so if you want to constantly keep it in Batmobile mode, you just need to simply reinforce the bottom by adding some extra plates. Once I had them together and was able to get the pieces needed I was able to reinforce both models to be a little more sturdy.

I'll be happy to post some pics for those interested.

Probably not. Lego knows those really help sell sets. I mean they put Wonder Woman in a Superman vs Lex set. WTF is Wonder Woman doing there? They've got her as a damsel in distress. They couldn't do a Lois Lane? :lol

And I've checked on ebay and a lot of the figures go for more than half the cost of the set at times. If you bought Lex, Supes, and WW out of the set you'd probably be paying more than the cost of the full set. Its crazy!

But I guess it beats those freaking blind bag mini figure waves. Ugh that is frustrating. I HATE blind packaging! Just let me buy the freaking figure I want! :gah:

Re: Lego DC 2012...

I disagree. I think LEGO is shooting themselves in the foot, by not selling the figures by themselves.

they already have Minifig series going on.

You blind pack figures, like they do now. and you use figures that wouldnt normally sell a set.

huntress? Metal Men? Aquaman?

People will buy the sets no matter what. but for people that dont want to keep buying superman and batman all day long, the minifig series would be a gold mine

Re: Lego DC 2012...

I've mastered the art of feeling up those minifigures to the point where I can get whoever I want.

I would love for them to make them as singles, its just the blind packaging I hate. I would much rather buy a full wave of the figures - including the ones I didn't really want - to just make sure I get the ones I wanted and not end up with extras of ones I didn't. I wish some website would just sell a set of these instead of buy the case :monkey4

I've been out of the game too long I think. I tried on Monday and was only able to positively ID the wave 6 Bandit because of the bandana peice. I use those so much as a kid I new exactly what it was when I felt it! I think I'd have bettter luck IDing the minifigures if I could take my shoes off and step on them :lol Thats always the best way to find a missing lego piece right?

I used to be like that with the Marvel Universe cards back in the days with those hologram ones. After the owner always sees me getting the holograms he made a sign "no feeling":lol

Re: Lego DC 2012...

I've put together the Catwoman, Lex, and Batwing sets so far and I'm just loving them! I'll tackle Two-face this weekend, but I can't wait for the Funhouse and Batcave come back in stock. No way am I paying $90 for the Batcave at TRU when I can get it for $70 if I wait a little. TRU used to be right with everyone else on their Lego prices, but they're so jacked up right now its not even funny.

They probably wanted another "DC Superhero" for the DC Superheroes line, 90% of the "DC line" so far is just Batman :dunno

I'm not big into DC, but i know the characters and there is alot more than just the Bat-Family of Heroes and Villains they should do.

I get it Batman is the most well known, but it's the same with Marvel 5/6 sets are all Avnegers, there is SO MUCH more they could've done, X-Mansion, Fantasticar, Daily Bugle ect... And those are very well known.

Re: Lego DC 2012...

I think they are just slowly easing into the other bits of the universe. Batman is a safe seller. I think they tested the Superman set out to see how that would do. Its got 3 new, major characters, cheap, and a cool set to build. I think we'll get more of the Justice League over time in addition to more Batman. I really want a black and grey Batman now!

For Marvel, I think an X-men set with a Sentinel would be freaking awesome! :drool
