Well, I decided to pick up the TF: Prime Arcee and Cliffjumper for myself. I was tempted to get Prime as well, but looking at him in the box, I was a bit underwhelmed.

I'm not even sure I want the Takara version either. I mean, it's OPTIMUS PRIME, so we're bound to get a better one down the road, right? Hopefully one with dual cannons/swords, and either his proper facesculpt or at least the option to display him as such.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice figure, but these things cost $30+tax up here, and I just think we'll see something better down the road. I can be patient. I'm pretty sure we won't get a better Cliffy, though, seeing as how he died in the first episode, and there was only one Arcee left, so...

Probably would have picked up Bulkhead too, but they were long gone. I still want a Takara version, but at this point I might be happy with the Hasbro one.

Anyway, I'll be back in Halifax in about a week. If anyone still wants a Prime (I'm making an educated guess that there will be no Bulkheads) or some of the Deluxes then, hit me up. I can try, at least.

I just took the eBay plunge and got me a FE Hasbro Optimus for Takara price. On either one I was going to do some paint mods so I figured why not just go ahead and pay the $60. Still think I'm going to keep my RId version just b/c it's Optimus and I have so many incarnations already, what's one more right? it's grown on me.

Sucks that we have to pay Takara price for the Hasbro ones. Tho I was lucky to snag a FE Prime Optimus today for $45 shipped. Hope he's atleast worth it.

I hear ya about regretting to not getting them earlier. I saw all the deluxes at a TRU before Christmas and figured I'd wait til they got the Voayger Optimus in to start the line. That's usually how I do things. If I can't get Optimus I won't get the line. Should've gotten them then for the lesser price and no shipping involved but oh well though. They're great figures IMO. I'm having lots of fun with them so the price isn't bothering me too much. Figured I'd end up paying this much for a smaller transformer sooner or later

I'm thinking about getting the Buster Prime/Jetfire 2-pack too but a little shakey on that since it costs as much as a Hot Toys figure

Megatron is definitely my favorite. He looks like just grey plastic in the box but after taking him out he almost has a slight brushed metal look. It was a nice surprise and the headsculpt looks great too

Nice haul, hope Soundwave was a bit bigger but glad we are able to get him. Megatronious looks nice, wonder if it's worth to wait for tak version. Nice to see Wheeljack with 2 swords and he looks great. As for Prime, I'm gonna get him too because it's Prime.

He guys quick question that I've been going back and forth deciding for awhile. So right now it seems the DMK Optimus is going for about $250 from what I've seen and I'm wondering if those of you who do have it think it's worth spending the $250 on that OR would the Takara Buster Prime/Jetfire 2pack that runs the same amount be better? I know it should seem like a no brainer to get the 2pack but I just can't seem to pull the trigger

yea Arcee is my second favorite of the show. If the RID version is a better mold, I'll get that one too! Wheeljack is my least favorite of the ones I got tbh but he's still pretty cool

I absolutely LOVE this Megatron. The translucent purple looks really great on him. He is really too cool and can't wait to have him next to the FE Optimus I have coming. I too wish Soundwave was bigger, but he's still a really great figure. I love how thin he is but still stands pretty well and how all the parts hide pretty well once transformed to vehicle mode
As for Optimus, I'm really having fun with him despite his terrible weapons. The robot mode doesnt bother me too much tbh and it really has grown on me. I might change my mind though once the FE Optimus gets here though

Damn DMK cost that much already? Did they do a 2nd wave in December? I got both DMK and Buster Prime. But I still did not put DMK together yet only the Bumblebee kit.

Have you checked out the Striker Prime?

Yep DMK Prime is roughly $250 from what I've seen on Amazon and EBay give or take about $10. I haven't found him instock at any online shops

From what I hear, there was a second wave in December but when I contacted BBTS about it, they said they weren't getting any more in. The main reason I want buster Prime is b/c how accurate he is in terms of paint and the gun. I've yet to have a movie Optimus with an accurate gun. BBTS has had those TFC Gear of War guns that can be made to look like differet Optimus guns (one being the movie version) for PO for at least 3months maybe longer with the ship date constantly being pushed back with each new month so I'm losing hope that they're actually going to get them in.

And that's exactly what always held me back about the DMK Optimus, the fact that he didn't come with a gun. but the awesome paint and chrome pieces and rubber tires is awesome! Plus the fact you have him with or without the faceplate is cool too. But b/c of the great accuracy he can't transform which is part of the fun about having a transformer IMO

I have looked at Striker Prime and had intended to get him until I saw him and he still had the red on his toes and some other paint details that I felt should've been fixed. Plus I don't like the gun he comes with nor the shield. I like the look of how the gun in the first 2 movies kind of became part of his hand

So for me, it's been tough to get trough the pros and cons of both

I just searched on eBay and Striker Prime is also about the same price as Buster. Yeah the red toes sucks.

I haven't been following the DMK line, but is it done or any characters will be made.

Buster Prime is like the Masterpiece of Prime in the movie. But people who has both is real impress with the DMK Prime. Sucks that all I did is open the box and made sure I didn't have 2 left fenders etc. I put it on the side.

Out of the 2 I would get the Buster Prime 2 pack because I see the price only going up and as for the DMK I imagine it will max out at $250. But don't take my advise, I didn't imagine it going for $250

Thanks man I really appreciate your input. Definitely going to consider this little more. The 2 pack route does have its pros b/c info have the regular ROTF Prime and Jetfire do I guess I could have them in PowerUp mode then have the Takara version separate. I'm going to have to check or more reviews and pics.

Well I built the DMK Optimus Prime kit, and from someone who poses and rarely does anything abusive to my figures this thing beats any, and I do mean ANY transforming version of the bayverse optimus prime. And it was fun to work with, knowing I did this from scratch makes it that more special to me.

DMK is not worth 250 I purchased one at regular cost. I also own the Striker prime which I think the paint job out does the chrome on the buster prime and the gun is closer to the movie.

Interms of DMK being a model you can get a Perfect Grade Gundam for less then that and they are way better then DMK would ever be.

Yea but, Gundam have been out for years and they flood the market and i'm sure thats part of the reason why they are more affordable, not to mention you get different classes of the same characters in HG/MG/PG. I'd say DMK Prime is on par with most of my MG Gundam kits.

I really don't like striker prime. the flames are accurate, but the overall paint is definitely not as accurate as the Buster Prime or the DMK kit. The gun however is pretty accurate to DOTM but i prefer the gun he used in the first to movies.
