I do, but I'm not sure you do. If the hand is normal, no light is going to shine through it to the cube. He'd need a cube hand where the cube area is the only area not blacked out so it shines, but the hand wouldn't. The area on the Iron Man hands that lights up is clear and the rest isn't, and therefore doesn't light up from the light source in the wrist peg. The only way to get that cube to light up in his hand would for it to be the clear part of that hand.

If I put a clear plastic cube in a lit up Iron mans hand right now, it would give a lit cosmic cube effect. You know what I mean? Make a similar hand for Red Skull....Or am I mad?

They could make it like Tony Stark Mechtest. But instead of a repulsor, just make a peg that plugs into the Cube. Then cube does not have to be sculpted to the hand.

But then it would only work in one hand unless both arms had bulbs

You're missing the point that the Red Skull would have a glowing hole in his hand that way. Its going to look like Iron Man holding a clear object and not a regular person holding a glowing object. The only way to achieve the glowing cube without it clearly looking like the light source is coming from the hand would be to have the hand and cube connected as one piece. They can't be seperate without losing the desired effect. If you go the Iron Man route and have him with a hole in his hand for the light, the cube will have to plug directly into that hole, essentially making it one solid piece, even if removeable. Am I making any sense yet?

I think we'll end up with a regular cube holding hand, a regular cube, and a lighting up cube/hand combo if the cube actually lights up at all.

While it can look cool in photos, I really don't care for light up effects either. Its not like you can display them like that permanently. If you could, thats one thing, but since we can't, its never something I've really cared about. But I feel if they are going to do a lighting effect, they should do it right or not at all, hense my big explanation on the hand/cube thing I don't want it looking light the light is coming from the hand. I want the freaking cube to look like its the one glowing!

Yeah, It makes for fun photos. It's neat feature but nowhere near a necessity. This figure will be mine regardless

If there is light, it will be a version of the hand integral with the cube, with lighting system like IronMan's palm as you imagined.

But I would lean more to the solution of Josh, ie no light, just slightly bluish resin.

I haven't been following the new releases of Hot Toys as long as some guys here, as a guesstimate when can we expect him to come out?

I want it so much, this will be the new thing I won't be able to stop thinking about until I have!

A 100% must buy, the biggest must buy no-brainer since 1984 T-800 Arnie for me.

I think painted to appear luminous would be best for long term posing. After all you can't keep the light on all the time, barring permanent power source mods.

I love the Red Skull anyway but the reason I'm so excited is because I think he was totally perfect in the movie.

This is looking great, must have. I don't see there being a light up function, as Hot toys can make the effect with paint to how they want, for less cost and hassle then to develop a light up function in his arm. Also with what maybe a possible alternavite outfit and head sculpt coming along with this, which is 2 pack to me less body. I think they are giving us plenty with this figure with a light up function. Just throw in a few weapons, and this will be a great collection item.

And no thanks to a light up cube. Something to increase costs and / or potentially break, for something I'll use once.
