I know it's a bit of a long shot, but anyone here have a spare helmet? I totally messed mine up trying to mod it to fit a bit better and more accurate and just totally screwed it up big time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unsalvageable? Just out of curiosity, what's been done that can't be fixed?

Very much so! Luckily and thankfully a fellow boarie is kindly selling me his!

But to answer you question, I put the helmet in the small over I used to bake my sculpts in but at the lowest temp and only left it in there for like 3mins to try and soften up the plastic b/c the hair dryer I was using wasn't getting the plastic soft enough to bend. Once the timer went off I took it out and one ear/wing was totally folded and the helmet shrunk. I tried to pop it on Thor's head while it was still a bit hot to hopefully at least get the shape of the helmet back but it cooled so quickly that it was already too late. Lessons learned, don't try to mod things the quick and easy way. For someone who's been customizing figures for years now, it's is pretty embarrassing to have done such a newb move :slap :lol

:eek Holy ____ that's awesome. Makes me want to buy a Dutch body asap. Hopefully the Avengers Thor is sleeveless. I just don't see a way to make Thor's chainmail sleeves look good on a 1/6 figure. I've taken the sleeves off of mine, but his arms look a little puny. Thor should be BIG

Ouch! Yeah, that'll pretty much make it unsalvageable. :lol

Glad you found a replacement, though! :rock

How easy is it to get the tunic off the body? I have a set of those HT slip-on muscle arms & thigh add-ons & want to try them when I get my Thor for X-Mas. TIA

It's easy if you separate the armor on the back at the two side seams. If you want I can post a picture of mine to show you

Thanks Nick! Please do.

RE: the muscle arms...the same as you see on the Thor pic in this thread...they look to slip over regular arms. Leaving for work but I'll try to post a pic later today.

Anyone think of changing the color on thor's chain mail shirt to a more silver look than grey? It seems a bit dull to me compared to the movie.

i dry brushed mine with silver crome paint ,it really brightend them up ,it helped to match the arms with the helmit a little better ,
