I dunno, when Stalin was in power, Russian prisoners in Siberia would get letters smuggled out to him, trying to let him know what was happening. They just knew that once he found out, the benevolent leader would swoop in and rescue them. Of course, those prison camps were all his doing, and he was responsible for often arbitrary imprisonment and death on a massive scale. Both leaders were able to manipulate the perceptions and beliefs of large sections of the populace using their control of information and indoctrination tactics.

People in that country have zero rights. Sorry to say North Korea is probably the most pathetic country in the world. They are all starving, have no possessions and everything they do and say is controlled. l saw on tv they can't have pictures of their own families on their walls, only pictures of the leaders, there aren't many jobs either most people are in the army, military branches or farmers. They are cut off from the rest of the world.
