Great idea, bad execution. The eyes are seriously fracked up and too far apart. Just try to imagine what a freak Bruce would look like if he took off that mask. Yikes.
Agreed. Every handbook about facial proportions will tell you the ideal eye distance should be one eye width apart...
... yet you can practically fit in three there.
Other than that it's a really nice bust, but if I were big into Batman and had the money and the room, that alone would make me hesitate. A lot.
I hope that doesn't make me a hater, but just someone with a reasoned argument and an aesthetic sense. If you like the bust enough and can afford it, by all means get it.

Well said! I totally agree . . . They simply don't put this level of thought into their Marvel line anymore.

Both the batman and captain america busts are great imo, but marvel had some flops imo this year especially with the new iron man bust and thor's face was pretty bad although great detail in the helm in wings.

I'm glad you posted this here as well as on Statue Forum. You make an excellent post and I would hope that Side Show would take note and make some corrections, although I'm sure that won't happen.
The corrections should be in line with something that was also posted over at Statue Forum here from which I am showing this "corrected" image:
The larger eyes help deal with the problem mentioned above and the stronger jaw is in line with Wayne/Batman having a very prominent chin.
Again, it would be nice if Side Show would make these improvements/corrections, but I know they won't.

Well yes but I'd like to think I can keep somewhat of a sound mind about these things.
For instance I can agree that they did a better job capturing the Joker in his PF than they did with the 1/4 scale First Avenger (which I still love.)
What 1/4 scale First Avenger? You mean the 1/4 scale Preening Princess statue, right?
