Official NECA Gremlins thread

Ill be picking up the Flasher Gremlin as soon as I see him at my TRU. They got the Mogwai's series 1, so hopefully Gremlins Series 1.


Im also SUPER psyched to get that Spider-Gremlin!!

Wondering...Are these to scale with 1:6? If I displayed them with my 1:6 collection, would they look to scale? Thanks in advance!

Nope, they're too large for 1/6 scale... I think they're somewhere in between 1/5 and 1/4 methinks...
Mogwais are around 1' tall and Gremlins about 3'.

Yeah, they are a little large for perfect 1/6. I would have thought 1/5, but 1/4 might actually be more correct.

Stopped at TRU to see if they had gotten the Gremlins in yet but no dice. Went home with the LEGO Black Pearl instead!

That's a bummer... for some reason i always thought it was going to be removable... oh well...

i got mine today...fantastic sculpts!
and the jacket is removable! looks like i will have to cut it off....as i don't know if i can pop the hands off of the arms....is a tough vinyl material.

man i love these! cannot wait for the next wave of both mogwai and gremlins....need my Lenny gremlin!

I plan on getting an extra one to customize as Stripe, since we don't know if NECA is making a new one... can the head look forward or is it fixed facing up?

the head is on a ball joint, but it cant look down due to the sculpt.
But, you can adjust the legs so he looks down a bit more.

once the coat is off, you can make him into the receptionist gremlin:
Gotta find a 1/6 scale red blouse and coffee pot!

and you can add a white coat and mask to daffy:
"is it safe??"

i really hope they make the 2nd style of gremlin too.

got mine open last night and like grasshopper said, the jacket can be taken off, but you are likely going to have to ruin it to get it off.

i had a hard time getting mine to stand since he is so top heavy...you have to find the perfect position and it took me a few minutes

Sorry I don't have a pic,
the new Gremlins have a glossier finish... while the older ones were more Matte,
but they do blend in nicely, specially with Brain and Mohawk...
I'll try to snap a pic for you...

I still hope they re-visit Stripe

I just got the three new Gremlins, and they are awesome!

Did anybody else realize the the Flasher is a compete Gremlin even without the coat. You can take it all the way off and have the generic Gremlin or make the Secretary Gremlin from G2 as well.
