the sideshow sculpt is going to look much to large and disproportionate.

Would it look too large on a muscle body, though? One of the things that looks a bit strange to me about the HT Indy is that the head seems a bit small in proportion to the body, at least in some pictures. I'm trying to plan out a map room Indy for a Tanis display and I'd like to use a repainted SS hat-less portrait on a muscle body for that. Also, is any place/person selling parted out pieces? I'd need an extra pair of boots and pants for Tanis Indy.

Yeah, this picture makes the figure look very good and more like HF. Shows how photography can be tricky and the subject made to look different in different light and poses.

I subscribe to the idea the photography highlights what some of us been saying "the Ford likeness is there" is just isn't like WOW.... Chris Reeves sculpt is a "WOW" whereas Indy is a "ah there it is"

I just put it on another Hot Toys body (2-in-1 Superman) and it looked fine to me. In any case, I would be curious to see how it looks specifically with the muscle body and DX gear, because I'm completely happy with my repainted Sideshow Indy head, but everything else can use an upgrade.

Sideshow head on a HT muscle body looks good.. ( I think)... here's my TOD Indy I did with that combination :

Yes, I agree. Maybe Ford just has one of those faces that is just hard to capture on a sculpt and different photography techniques captures his likeness differently. I am glad that I still have this on pre-order. I don't think I will be disappointed. I like it better than my Sideshow one. Of course my SS one still has the bad paint job.

:exactly: This figure has so much potential for shelf presence, I cannot wait for him to arrive.

Would be cool if HT sent out everyone who bought this a bonus head sculpt, without the PERS. From the pictures I've seen, that's what seems to be knocking the likeness. You should get a 2nd head sculpt anyway being a $250 DX

Not sure if this was posted yet but yeah

Harrison ford during a recent late nite show interview was askedd what he thought about the hot toys sculpt of himm and the likeness

Beautiful custom. If you could lower the head on the neck like mentioned, it would be even better.
