great job on the mod jedijim. Just a clarification on the process.

1) remove plastic part from foot
2) drill holes in plastic part
3) glue magnets into holes
4) place plastic part back on foot

is that right? If so, I think I'll have to tackle this mod, I love it

OK, so this is my second try at Spider-Man 3, I picked up Medicom one two years ago, his leg broke in package, nothing could be done with him - gave him to my nephew to play with, the suit kept the leg on the body - he just would not pose a write off.

Now I received Spider-Man 3 from Hot Toys - spectacular figure - and in the box his left hand / wrist is broken. :gah:

Aside from the Spider-Man curse I have, how does someone manage a change of hands? The pins on the wrist seem so tight, that once they go into a hand, they really should not be coming out.

Any advice / tips / info?

Anyone wiling to part with a Spider-Man 3 wrist piece?

You mean the wrist peg is broken? You can find them for sale on ebay for cheap. Also, as the removing the pegs and hands just give a good "yank". They are really stuck in there. I actually had to pull the pegs with my teeth.

Sure. I have since put 4 magnets on each foot but you get the idea. Make sure you take the plastic pads off before you drill any holes. Otherwise it could snag the suit and rip it to shreds. I know. This is what happened to mine on the right foot. I have since been able to repair it but what a heart breaking moment. So be careful.

This was taken after I tried to put in the fourth magnet on each foot. Then I got smart and removed the pad. I just measured the magnets traced a circle around then and dremeled it out so I could glue it in place.

Where did you get your magnets?

Yes. That is correct. Make sure the magnets are not flush but sit just a little bit out of the hole. The reason is the cloth that goes around the bottom edge of the foot is slightly higher than the plastic pad. If you set the magnets flush or countersunk they won't contact any metal surface fully and be weak. If you can find a magnet to replace the whole pad that would be the best solution.

I actually grab the peg with a pair of plyers and pull straight out. If you try to bend it in any direction it will bend and snap. You can also get replacements from eBay for really cheap. Cheaper if you buy two pair at a time. You won't find red ones but you can always use caucasion ones and dye them.

I hear that brother. I wish I could get a hold on a Feng Studios Toby head. That one was superb. Someone did make the mask removable a few pages back and it looks awesome. I put rare earth magnets on my spidey's feet and I love it.

And here I am freaking out when my air tight case opens...

This is great... even for folks with detolfs they can use the magnets on the corner posts to create some good building gripping poses...

I love this figure! cant wait to buy the New Goblin to give it some companion.

Without a doubt!!

Hmm, i bargained and could buy him for 150$, plus the guy is in my city. I really liked the movies (especially 1) and have the kotobukiya spiderman statue (black costume on a pole). It's very tempting, but i'm not sure if he'd look "toyish". The price is good, right?
