You know, after the Joker DX 2.0 announcement, I was thinking about the Superman Returns figure.

Do you think they might re-release this? Improve it a little? For those of us who don't have this, I was thinking it might be a good opportunity to get it.

Any thoughts on this?

No chance. I doubt DC would license any more Routh stuff with Cavill on the horizon.

Won an auction for the 2in1 last night.
I think $265 + 40shipp is quite a good price for this.
Although it'll be difficult to deal with the absence of the head from the first release...

Well unless it has a good repaint that head from the first release is a bit crap. With a repaint the likeness can be better than the 2in1 but the stock paintjobs were barely a step up from Action Man back then.

I was watching that one, completely forgot about it. Good price :clap

I know, right? :lol
Yep, plan is to give it for cast, resculpting and painting - want some several heads with little differences.

I would sooo like to collect the second one from the beginning of the movie but hardly
anyone gonna be interested in makin' this suit... Well at least I'll have two favorite Supermans.

I think Moe is working on that suit. Check the Customs interest section. There is a SR suit being worked on and I think it's this one.

Also gave my Clark Kent a TTA neck and cut of the extra "neck parts as well. I also rearranged the snaps on the shirt to be much less visiable as well as better placed. So now the collar closes batter

i'm actually one of the 8 people in the world who like this movie.

but this figure accentuates what i dislike about the costume (tiny emblem, silly neckline)

hot toys will probably not revisit this line again so i have to live without this figure.:)

I loved it. It wasn't the movie I'd really hoped for but I loved it nevertheless. It's the only movie I ever saw three times in the cinema.
And plenty of other people loved it too. It got generally very positive reviews here in the UK and took almost $400M dollars worldwide, more than Batman Begins. It wasn't by any means the abject failure some people would have you believe.

Who's that guy in the Superman suit? :lol

He's the guy who wasn't really given a fair chance by jackoff fanboys. :lecture:lecture:lecture

:lecture Gave me chills when I watched the airplane scene and he was talking to the passengers. There was more about the movie that I liked rather than disliked and Routh should have continued as Supes in a better film IMHO.

I have this figure. I like it. It reminds me of how far Hot Toys has come with their figures. Imagine if they made it today.
