Is it just me that find Hot Toys to be very addicting?

Yup me too, when i got Thor, i already Po'd on Cap.. and now i'm starting to save up for Iron Man.. These Stuff will eat our wallets up

Hot Toys are extremely addictive. I have probably over 100 HT's figures. (HT only, I also have a few Sideshow, Enterbays and Soldier Story)

The key for me has been to make sure and keep a budget and even though I still have a lot of pre-orders I'm trying to be much more selective.

I'm not even going to try for the Batman/Bruce Wayne exclusive, since I already have all the TDK figures and don't plan on adding any more to that series.

With the Iron man's I was very selective with IM2. I skipped over the MKIV and VI because they were too similar to me and only have the Mark V on pre-order. I'm also skipping the new MKII since I have the original.

and yet w/ all those figures you avoid, you still have 100+ HT figures there..wow! Would you mind to list them all (HT only)?

You have 100+ HT and you dont have Mark4..neither Mark6???

yeah, its all over. I got infected in a similar way. I reallytried to resist but it was inevitable.

First I just wanted to have the DX Joker..then I decided to add DX Batman to have the pair. Then I decided to collect just the DX figures..so I got DX MJ. Then I thought Godfather could be considered as a DX..and bought it it.

Sometime later I found a good deal for a T-800 and T-1000...after that decided I would get P1 and Dutch and collect figures from past movies and the DX figures only. but a friend of mine told me Wolverine/Blade were amazing figures they were expensive by then, but I manage to get them... and started collecting the Marvel main characters along with DX figures, 80's/90's movies and some random figures. LOL now days my criteria is based on if I like the figure or if its a famous character...or whatever excuse I got to buy one. I buy 5 or 6 figures every 10 releases.

I really dont see the popularity with the Iron man figures. I dont understand why people get 2 or 3 iron mans when the only diff is paint or armour sculpt. I prefer to collect figures from GOOD movies like Scarface or Batman. I am starting to get seriously hooked. The problem for me is I dont have that much money to spend on collectables but the hunger continues to grow. I only have a small collection but with the figures im Pre Ordering its not gonna be small for much longer.

After the paint and armor sculpt how much more difference are you after?

? he didn't ask how different you were, he asked what differences you were expecting to see in the figures. Your response is flawed.

People that are Iron man fans from the comics have been used to seeing halls of armor for years, that is why we want the different suits, to re create the halls.

its addicting for me. I started about a year ago and now have 10 Hot Toys in my collection. I just pick the ones I really want.

If that is what he was asking (which it isnt) I would'nt expect to see anything different in the figures. I just wonder why people would buy them when each new figure bears hardly any difference from its predecessor. Its insanity. Buying the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result

I can't remember the last figure i bought for its personality. I guess i'm just shallow, i judge the figures by theirs looks.

Is this a new trend?

I think i've had a sufficient detox from HT that i'm not as hooked anymore.

After so long without ordering anything (since there's been very little variety to order) i did order the T800 and City Hunter but whereas before they'd be secured orders with excitement i'm now just glad to have been able to order something, i'm not excited and might not even keep them ordered.

After so long waiting for new projects to start and have not one of them start, i moved my money to sideshow and threeA and although i still hoped HT would finally start these lost licenses, now i just hate their lack of integrity (remakes, reissues, bias licenses focus, QC, crappy E-Mail, disregard for their customers) so much i don't see myself as a collector of them anymore.

For the rest of the year this is my most wanted collectibles (sans the ones HT haven't done)...

You are not alone, I only have two hot toys on po, the rest is ss and koto

I like the detail in hot toys but I hate the poseability and the scale...it's all statues for me!
