I'm not fighting with Nam in this one. l have been contributing no problem.:lecture

You are contributing by continuing to talk about it. If you don't have anything to say about Danny Devito's penguin, then please leave the thread.

Devito was great. The characters design was awful.

Agreed again. He was really hard to digest from a design standpoint, it's as if they went above & beyond the call of duty to make him as unappealing as humanly possible.

I see you edited your post. :lol Your initial posts were giving crap to newer members....that I would consider trolling.

Busted :nana:

Yes, it continues...but you did start it (not with fear) but with going off on newer members.

I disagree. Asking the OP if he knew that Returns was a different license was not trolling. He stated he was new so I took that as an implication that he didn't understand it's not a blanket license for Burton's works. Nintenjoe's the one who started the BS, and from there it was "dogpile NAM!" :lol

Does anyone remember that awesome Penguin custom that Elvis made? That thing was a work of beauty.

Maybe if you had worded it like that it wouldn't have seemed like you were jumping on newbie...which let's be honest...you have a habit of doing.

I couldn't remember who it was..then I remembered it was Seb..and I forgot to edit the who made part out of my post. :lol I don't think he made the sculpt though....

Sculpt's from the Horizon 1/6 vinyl kit.

And that is a fantatstic Penguin. Probably best I've ever seen.

"It could be worse, my nose could be gushing blood."

It was a radical departure for the character - he's almost a mutant rather than just an eccentric human with a passion for flightless waterfowl.

And did the HT license announcement cite only the first Batman movie as being included in the license? I'd assume that Batman Returns would be part of the license agreement.

I like the 'ghoulish' angle to the character, thought it was a great way to update the character and explain the "Penguin" conceit behind him. Very over the top, very Burton-ish, but good all the same.

I thought it was fitting given how much was going on in that pic. Plus it added the whole "freak" thing to the little guy complex and character design. Had he been otherwise, I don't believe it would've worked.

All the announcements refer to the Nicholson likeness and '89 Batman. Not a blanket license covering both of Burton's pics.

I do think that the popularity of the Burton franchise may mean that we see Returns stuff. I think it all depends on how well '89 does(which will do amazing), and I think that if they do get the license, we probably won't see anything until after the TDKR crazy train leaves the station.

it's been how many years since TDK? and were still getting figs from it, with at least one more to come. The same might be said for TDKR, so I don't see it being that long before we see something from BR.

To be fair though, they've just about milked TDK and with the exception of Ras and maybe a Ninja, BB as well. So the lull after 4 years was filed with '89 Batman. If Returns is at all possible, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see anything until 2016.
