Re: Hot Toys New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming?

Here's a real comparison: DX (Stock) - Kato.E

I'll take the one on the left for $179, please.

Re: Hot Toys New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming?

It should be more accurate for that price, one could by 3 or 4 complete boxed sets of figures for that...

Re: Hot Toys New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming?

More accurate? Care to elaborate? Like I said the only inaccuracy I can see myself is the colour of the blazer, which we simply were unable to source the exact right colour for.

Re: Hot Toys New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming?

There are people who have only 10 figures and try to have the best quality possible >< there are people who have lot more lines ( and figures ) to collect and so they can buy the dx and be 100% happy with it!
I'm in the first case but I can totally understand the people who are happy with the dx ( it's an awesome figure )
There are people for who quantity > quality and there are people for who quality > quantity!
It's all about that! It's not even the same "sport" so I don't see the point to judge the others part!
For me, It's more important to have 1 figure that I think 99% perfect that buy 10 hot toys! It's just my point and I can understand that people have an another opinion! but please don't judge me!
Two differents perceptions of the hobby!

While I understand the sentiment, I think this comment is a bit of an unfair stereotype. I collect lots of figures. I probably have 50 or so 1/6th scale figures. But do I collect because I want lots of figures? No. I collect lots of figures because I like them all and think they are all of a sufficient quality that they are worth owning.

Better to say that some prefer 99.99% screen accuracy and extraordinary levels of craftsmanship and detail, while others are willing to compromise, and accept that a figure that is 85% screen accurate with above average, even great levels of craftsmanship and detail are sufficient when the trade-off is several hundred dollars or more and other great figures potentially being missed out on as a result.

Most of us here aren't looking for Hasbro and NECA figures when we go after our 1/6th scale fix.

He ll be a bit ripe by now...

Yeah I guess Nic's statement was a bit generalized but yes, agree with this. I don't deny i'd rather pay 3-4 very good quality figures or more equivalent for an exceptionally accurate single figure.

Re: Hot Toys New DX TDK Joker 2.0 Coming?

Actually it is. :lol

Not only has the shirt in that comparison pic been dyed darker, but I don't even think that's the DX shirt.

My mistake, for some reason i thought he said the "vest" color was on par with Kato's ""it is not!:lecture"" :lol ..ya the shirt is fine, but fyi i bought kato's for the amazing fit of the collar.

:slap If someone wants to spend more money on a figure to have it as accurate as possible over buying loads of retail priced figure i say let them:dunno ..an honestly anyone who buys multiples of the same figure has no right to bash someone for paying extra cash on custom clothing/sculpts etc..:lecture
