in theory, but what physical differences are there and why would SS or even ebay believe that the listing should be taken down if nothing can be proven? For all they know, Monster is the one with the "recast".

I highly doubt Nick's is the recast. He'd be the first to rant about it if it was. Plus, it's not like China isn't known for pulling this ____ all the time. Have you checked out the feedback to see what other items they've sold? A LOT of high prices rarities from Sideshow. I'd even go so far as to say, watch. Once this Ardeth SSE bust goes, they'll list another one. Now what are the chances of a shop in China getting 2 busts with a run of only 15? Stop playing Devil's Advocate and open your eyes.

I realize you are playing devil's advoate with the queries---but the questions you are asking and arguments you are presenting is exactly why they should be stopped. Because owners of legitimate pieces are forced to suffer, and have their piece's value come into question.

It's happenings like this that make me wonder if Sideshow Collectibles products are truly "Limited Edition" products or "Lets make another one and sell it whenever we feel like it products". I feel that in the case of this bust, I have the right to know what is truly going on here or I do not need to be a Sideshow Collectibles Customer anymore.

Scary thing is the details these guys are getting are just too good to come from recasting a production piece. That and in a few cases, the paints have turned out better than Sideshow's "factory" paints. I'm thinking Sideshow's naively taking it on good faith that the shops in China are stopping the runs when Sideshow says to, and only making the specified number of molds and destroying them all when they're told to.

Exactly! I know there's no proof... but these things don't look like recasts at all. If you can't tell the difference, right down to the box and stickers, the only people who get hurt are the people who own the originals.

I collect guitars too. The good thing is, you can tell which ones are fakes of limited edition models and which are the real deal.

No I have the original shipper Box with the Red X and shipping sticker on it so now Sideshow Collectibles needs to answer for the fake #13 of 15 Bust on ebay!

Well now that I think about it, I think ebay would have to make the call to pull the listing. If I can help Sideshow put a stop to recasters in any way, I will. Like I stated before, I have the original box with the original shipping sticker on it from Sideshow Collectibles.
