Shoegaze or dreampop is my favorite style (My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins......) but I really like a lot of things really.

Radiohead is my favorite band but I DJ dark trance, will listen to hip hop (not rap that is different than true hip hop) limited metal, and finely crafted pop songs are great. I guess the only stuff I don't really listen is opera and what would be termed modern country (that old timey stuff is pretty good).

Really I just love music and acording to my iPod I have 15 days worth of music on it so I guess I really do love music (by the by the music on my iPod is not mp3s that downloaded but my collection, probably only half).

I do like Primus though. :)

To clarify, only the first 6 Sabbath albums, the first 3 Primus (I've heard Anti-Pop was good, but I haven't investigated), and Sonic Youth up to the noise albums they did in the late 90's (though they will always be capable of rocking the ____ out of just about anyone).

But here. It was a different story in the beginning. :)

Sailing the Seas of Cheese was my first Primus album, followed by Frizzle Fry, which is probably my favorite.

Les was a big inspiration to me. I played bass for about 5 years, and he was one of my heroes.

I can appreciate Sabbath for being metal innovators, but I never "got" Sonic Youth. :dunno

Got it. :duff

I still consider Sabbath to be heavier than modern death/black metal, etc. Sonic Youth...I don't know what to tell you. Chaos dancing on the head of a pin.

Needs to be harder :lecture too soft like Devil, he'll see in person what I'm talking about. :lol

I'm not going anymore.

But Sabbath can still stomp Amon Amarth into nugget sauce. :lecture

Dirty was the culmination of their first decade. It was the most heavily produced album up to that point. Takes away a bit of the allure, but Kim Gordon's writing on it was incredible.

It's definitely one of the top five albums from the turn of the decade. That, Ritual de lo Habitual, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Appetite for Destruction, and...

...hmm. Having trouble coming up with another one as singular as those. Primus...Nirvana...Beastie Boys...
