Honestly, I think that the fact that Superman is Sideshow pretty much says that DCD is out of the Hot Toys game.

Alrighty, this just happened to me -

I work in US but all my bills are sent to home in Canada. So my billing address is Canadian while the shipping address is USA. I ordered 2 EX Jacks and they even charged me the deposit. But when I was checking my account last night, I realized they have cancelled my 2 EX Jacks and put 2 regular Jacks in my order instead. Called them up and ask, and they said because I am a bill to out of US, they still cannot sell it to me....

I am just upset that they did not notify me by any means (I checked my spam box and nothing also) and would automatically go and switch me to a non-exclusive version. The CSR insisted that they have sent me a e-mail, so whatever. I asked her to cancel the order and refund me the deposit. Will keep an eye out on my card to make sure that happens....

Anyone else doing similar orders have the same issue?

That's a second changeable face sculpt--it wasn't approved so when the official pictures went out they had to take out the pictures of that sculpt so they can rework it. They'll be putting up new pictures of it at some point. So it will be coming with two interchangeable faces, the one in the pictures and the one they are working on fixing.

I'd tend to agree... Superman is easily one of the most wanted figures in 1/6. No way DCD would choose to pass on it.

I don't know why most 1/6 figures only have a poker face.
When this DX Jack has a face with some emotion, disney didn't approve it.
Are they afraid to give "life" to a plastic figure?

Does anyone know how much Height Jack'll be on the ships wheel stand? It's hard to tell from the pics how much the stand will add to the display height, and I need to know as my shelves are tight!

Based on the pic Ive seen of the DX Jack next to the old HT Jack, The DX is much shorter (more scale acurate becuase Depp is short) than the older HT Jack, so Im going to assume, even with him standing on the base, he shouldnt be any taller than any of the other HT you have in your display.

I CANNOT wait to get this...what a work of art. I almost feel bad for EB at this point. Not only is this a definitive sculpt of Depp as the Cap'n, but the clothes, the bottle, the wheel and an extra face all for like what 240$!? The EB/Medicom is more money, has an inferior sculpt and not half of the accessories. This is a win for HT and us as collectors.

It seems crazy that they will be able to top this release, but I hope they do it'll be great for us. One aspect of this figure is how people's perception differs so much. Some think this sculpt looks amazing then some think EB's looks amazing. This isn't going to get here soon enough!!

I don't order from SSC and I don't plan to, unless they have a super cool EX that I must have.

Anyway, hope you get your money back and sorry to hear about this.

After DX Bruce that's a big call. A $220 exclusive got buyers two PERS sculpts, two bodies, 3 costume options, 2 dioramas, a gazillion posing hands and a bunch of weapons. All immaculately detailed, sculpted, painted and tailored. If DX Jack even matches the DX04 release in these areas it'll be an awesome figure - if it does any of these things better than the DX04 release it will be, well, even awesome-er.
