If you don't open it, couldn't you just return it to your store?

I've returned NECA stuff to TRU even after opening it (and after buying it from a different TRU in Hawaii). Not sure if their policy has changed, but for me, having the receipt and the packaging (however cut-up it was) was enough to get it exchanged.

:banana

And now... it's time for some self-promotion. I mispoke around the beginning when I stated this was "quarter-inch scale", so please disregard that part. Took a few takes and it's getting tougher to keep my videos short without going over certain things (and getting woozy talking to the camera for a good hour :)).

I guess it's just as well my masked one came with several tears. It has the worst gap I've seen of all those we've posted here.

I guess some of you will pick on me for it, but I think NECA's quality hasn't changed much. Well, I'll say their paint apps did show improvement. The rest didn't. Don't tell me the sculpts have improved, because I think that hasn't really been NECA's problem. They usually have good sculpts. I'm repainting a 7" alien, and when I got the black base coat on it, it really showed that.

I don't think I'll buy other 19" predators if they release them, unless there's marked improvement on these quality issues. It's just too much of a hassle for the quality we're getting. I'm just one of many drops in the bucket though. I'm sure others will sell just fine.
. What is the gap evryone is speaking off

Not only is the gap the problem but it also throws off the shape of the eyes.

Avenger's pred looks like he is surprised. The eyes are huge!

Maybe the gap size does depend on chance. I still doubt any of them are absolutely perfect, but some gaps are bigger than others. Like I said to Avenger, if it's unopened, simply return it and get a better one. It is fragile and the netting does limit poseability as a result, but even if you have to get him in a normal standing pose, it's still a great deal.

Blade, I'm trying just that. But, I won't know what BBTS will do for me till Tuesday (I assume they'll be off for the holiday). I think you did it the right way, going to the store. You got the pick of the local litter, whereas I had to roll the dice with whatever BBTS sent me. I rolled craps I guess, cause 2 of the 3 has issues I can see through the window that I would have passed on had I gone to TRU. Lesson learned on that part of it. I was looking forward to the closed mouth one, and that's the one of the set that looks alright. But, I feel like I better not open that till I hear back from BBTS. It's not the start I wanted, and I won't buy other NECA 19" if they have these issues. These should be fixable. Mask gap was a mistake, correctable. Seam should be something they can have factory fix. Netting, should be something they learn from. Next figures should be better, but I'll be pretty reluctant about jumping in too fast on them.

You made a great review BTW. I hope you do the same on other releases. I'll be looking for it!

I just hope go hastings let's me cancel my order sent them an email to cancel I ordered the masked version but the ripped netting is a dealbreaker

No doubt!

tankman mentioned before that perhaps the top half of the bio wasn't pushed down far enough over the bottom half of the bio (something to that extent) and was glued that way.

We see now from the videos and pictures, that's not true at all.
The ledges inside of the bio that modders are having to cut off or sand down would not allow you to push the visor down any further.

If I could only get my hands on a masked predator, the first thing I would do is address the visor gap, because this is not P1:

:exactly: Worst gap ever ! Thank god it is fixable.

Went out looking for a closed mouth Pred today. Only action was at a collector store, but for $125. Another store had the open mouth ($125) and Bio ($150) versions too. Didn't realize this thing was so hot on the secondary market already..
