Yeah might just be the angle, but the helmet does look odd. Almost like it shrinks from bottom to top and out of proportion. Weird...

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! i was on a good streak of not caving in to ordering too many items, that will end when this baby is up,

I wonder what the exclusive will be? a larger Blaster Rifle, a mouse droid on the base....

I'm hoping for a death star base.

:panic: Me likies! I was worried about how the mouth on the helmet would turn out, but its looking ok! I can definately live with that and might even get 2 depending on how different the EX is! :panic:

Man Sideshow just can't seem to sculpt accurate Fett or Trooper helmets. :slap Maybe it's just the angle. I look forward to seeing more pics.

Yeah, to be honest the first thing I thought was that the helmet looked weird. But it could be the angle. I'm hoping the head will be adjustable. If so that would go a long way toward fixing this issue.

I guess I just dont know enough about Star Wars because it looks fine to me.

Yup, looks like a Stormtrooper to me. Not to mention in the video they did it was mentioned several different armors, helms, etc were used. They also mentioned they would be taking all them and making the "perfect" stormtrooper. Either way as I said it looks like one to me.

something about the size / cut in the eyes i guess thats not satisfying me...or is it the chest size..or just the angle..

bah. let's just see the actual proto and its features.

Man, I've only been a SW fan for 30 years and the helmet looks fine to me. I mean, it's funny. Every time leading up to a release you have those wanting to pull the trigger with one photo and others saying they will pass with one photo, when EVERYONE agrees 99.9% of these look better in hand than any photo. Same thing recently happened in the Cobra Commander thread and then pages of people nitpicking after many were like on day one, oh yeah, this will sell out. I guarantee there's not a 100% movie accurate anything SS or any other company puts out.

Nice to see the different viewpoints in here, shows we're all not clonetroopers.

That being said there is one product that is 100% true to the movie... that's the movie itself.

Im pretty sure SS did there research, I think people just like to complain about stuff.

I wish that were the case here. As others have said it could be the angle, by my reservations have nothing to do with any intimate knowledge I have of SW or Stormtrooper designs. I just look at it and the proportions just seem a bit off some how.

Hopefully its just the photo because the WIP shots looked great.

The helmet seems a little elongated -- like it's squished a bit from the sides, making it taller than it should be. I agree that these things tend to look better in person, and I'm certainly not going to make any snap judgments based on one picture.

But the fact is that Sideshow has made quite a few missteps, such as with the helmet on their 1/6 scale Vader. It never looked right to me, right from the very beginning when people were exclaiming about how excited they were to see the sneak preview image. Then when it came out everybody was rushing to mod their helmets so they would look better.
