NECA 1/4 scale predator

Apparently somebody got a bruised ego with my pics today and by the way I didn't use any "flash photography". Really it's black and white that I didn't use any flash, I used two 5000k photography lights at 2 feet and 2 large 5000k photography lights at 10 feet . But for those that like it dark here you go, flash free
Still an awesome figure, trying to decide if I want to open my Masked version or not.

Really, very bruised indeed. Sorry man, a lot of people have posted photos if I'm not mistaken so my comment wasn't aimed at you in particular (if I may use this copout!) but more generally at people using flash (including on HT figs) - I just think its a bad idea when trying to showcase any figure let alone a 'low-end' one with seams and paint errors and whatnot. I would personally only use it in broader 'collection' photos.

However, since I am usually too lazy to take photos of my new figures when I first get them I am thankful to those of you who aren't, who keep the rest of us entertained while we wait for ours.

Can somebody please post a pic of this guy standing next to a 1/6 figure and a 7" predator? I know they might already be around, but I just want to see one where they're all side by side. I just want to see the differences.

The P1 doesn't look that bad in that photo there. Actually I really like it. Too bad it doesn't always look like that, well I assume that because other photos I have seen are not as flattering.

I love my Neca figure, but the Hot Toys figure is my absolute favorite.

Well I just ordered the closed mouth one since everyone has been raving it, it was tough choice between open and closed but do to people one here I went with closed.

I don't own it, and honestly wouldn't want to. I wouldn't even pay $20 for it, let alone $200 or whatever they run.

It's an awesome figure, but NECA's destroys it in what matters. Accuracy.

Awesome figure indeed, and your pictures turned out great.
This figure seems right at home in the foliage.

I know you're at work now, but when you get another chance to do another photo shoot, don't hesitate.

I'm still glad I own it. I can see where the negativity comes from towards it but I'm happy I have it on my shelf.

What it is is that a lot of people cant afford to cough up half a grand for him and so they are happy with the NECA Predator. I'm happy with my Hot Toys Predator because he's 1/6 scale and goes with my other collectables. A 1/4 Pred isnt gonna fit in with my other 1/6 stuff. But for the price I'm happy with the 1/4 NECA Pred and cant wait to get all three of him.

The thing that stands out for me on NECAs is the sculpting on the upper torso. Big pecks, a six pack and a nice line of hairs running down his chest.

I think the HT pred shows its age. HT has made so many advancements in such a short time, even by their standards it's looking kind of rough. I would buy one if they weren't so expensive. But, I missed the train, and the current prices are way beyond what I'm willing to pay for it. I'll wait for some form of remake or a similar figure in the form of classic, and if that doesn't come I'm fine with going without on the earlier HT preds.
