Iron Man 2: 1/6th scale Mark II (Armor Unleashed Version)

I wonder how much of this figure is going to be truly re-developed. With HT's history, I would bet almost all of it.

I can't seem them resting on their laurels and re-using components just to save on costs. I reckon if they see an area that needs revising, they'll do it. It's what I love about HT releases and their marketing - unlike some other 1/6 companies, whatever proto pics HT show of a figure, chances are the end result will be better, not worse, than what is shown in the pics.

Definitely still a mock-up, judging by that picture with the Mk.II AU laid out on the table.

I hope the shoulders aren't so big and I hope the Mech Test boots are replaced with taller versions to give the figure the height it needs to be in better scale.

I will issue this warning now for everyone. If you attempt the complete table breakdown...

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE LOWER REAR CALF COVERS - if you remove them. When I was converting the BD MK III into a MK II (looks to be the same mold for this part) one of these broke ridiculously easy when I took it off. Above the two opening flaps there is a VERY thin piece of seamed plastic holding it together and is not an easy fix to repair.

Anywho - just a PSA from someone who knows.

Don't go down the same path I did with your Iron Man... Practice safe toy handling.

Yeah I don't buy a lot of stuff. Maybe one thing every other month.

Same here...I like to pace myself similarly. If I do PO this I will do it in late Q3 if I can and if I miss out I'll be ok with that as well as there are so many other characters being released. Currently I have two POs...and it might stay that way for a bit...probably till SDCC..then its game over

probably one of the reasons people want the mark 1 now more than ever is because with the mark 2 coming out, they'll have a gap in the armor collection, 2-6, without the original armor.

i'm not sure yet if i'll get the mark 2 again but the new shiny silver and the bazillion detachable pieces are weakening my defenses. speaking of detachable pieces, imagine a new mark 1 with that feature! hellzyeah! i'll buy that again in an instant!

back to the thread, mark 2 AU is bound to be awesome, those who missed out the first time, don't even think twice.

It isn't, but who knows. If it was there when they took the prototype pictures they would have taken photos showing it.
