Who's usually first to get NECA figures? It's usually the coastal areas of the US right?

Yep. I live in Southern California, and I usually find them in stores and get my shipments in sooner than those in other areas. We seem to get them in about a month after the estimated date. If something is announced to come in June, I'll usually start seeing it in early July.

Which stores specifically? TRU or local comic shops?

OK. I just hope the UK isn't far behind. How does it work: is the stock sent direct from the factories in Asia around the world or is the stock sent to NECAs hq in the US and then distributed worldwide from there?

It seems the comic places around me get them in the fastest, with TRU close behind. Probably because TRU gets all the stuff sent to their respective wharehouses, processed, and then distributed among stores/online product storehouses, whereas the comic/collectibles guys get their cases sent directly to them, and don't deal with the volume and processes a huge company like TRU goes through with their stock. But that's just a theory, I'm not sure how they actually handle it.

For example, I saw the Sam Fisher and Crysis 2 figures at my comic/collectible shops about a week before they got widespread at the TRU's around me. But for the Pred stuff, TRU seems to get it in a bit sooner. I saw series 1 at TRU before I saw it anywhere else, or even before it was available to ship from anywhere online. Series 2 was both at about the same time.

As far as how the stock is sent from Asia, I have no idea. I would imagine it's sent directly to the vendors that have them on order, but I don't know. Makes more sense to send a boat from Asia directly to the UK with the stock, rather than stop in the US for further distribution processes.

But even then, as with Predators series 2, I remember Greygoose posting about getting them only about 2 weeks after I found them, so the time delay between the U.S. and other parts of the world doesn't seem too big.

Of course this is all just speculation on my part, I'm just reporting my observations as far as when I usually find the product and where. I have no idea what the actual process is from Asia to wherever the product goes to after that, or how each company handles the distribution process.

If they are saying they should be out in about 2 weeks, I'd probably say they will see widespread and worldwide release in early to mid-June.

I'm still hoping for early June.:D

Seems like it should be, I have a feeling these 1/4th figures were produced at the same time as the re-orders of series 1 and 2, and those are due any day now, so these guys should be getting ready to ship out and be released.

Maybe keep an eye on when figures like Duke Nukem and the rubber-skirted Scream killer start showing up, from what I have read as far as when things are getting produced and released, it seems like the Preds should be right on their heels.

Either way, it's getting down to the wire, I wouldn't be suprised to see in-hand reviews and sellers from Asia with these guys any day now...

I hope the P2 City Hunter is next.

I use to just think if only the Predator would be 1/4th and now I'm getting greedy. P2 like this would be Predator Heaven. While we're at it the Wolf would be great too. I've gotten to where I think that design is really great.

if neca does do p2 in 1/4, i hope the netting is done correct this time.

Predator 2 alone would be awesome. 1/4 Predator 2, Battle Damage Predator 2, Predator 2 Elder, and Berserker would constitute Predator Heaven.

Yeah, I definitely agree, I've grown very fond of Wolf's design as well. The design is very cool, continues and adds upon the previous designs in a very natural and fitting way. With his mask on, Wolf fits right in with P1 or the Lost Hunters.

I've seen customs of people making a Wolf figure using the P1 body as the base, and the armor and style look amazing on that body. I can't wait to see what people do when we have the crouching capabilities of the P2 body type! :)

It won't be so you'll have to live with what you get and you'll be happy believe me. The net has been the biggest pain in the back side on these.

Man, in some of those pics it looks almost like it's THE Predator just standing outside. That thing is so dead-on it's scary! That third pic is amazing.

P1 is the best to me but P2 is so cool looking I can see why others would like it best. For me it's aways a let down to see my 13 inch figure get shrunk down. It's the coolest thing however to see these get blown up to the 19 inch figure. I can only imagine our Predators being big like this P1.

if your pics are of the same production figure we're getting, i can live with the netting. i could see how it would be a pain to get it even that good and we're lucky to have separate netting at all on a $80 figure. so who do we send harassing emails to until we get a 19" P2?

Yeah same here, P1 is always king and the coolest for me; but P2 is an awesome design as well.

But yeah, seeing these awesome works of art in this large scale is really amazing, the detail and just plain awesomeness blows me away everytime I see a new pic. I may dare say this the best thing NECA has produced thus far, it's just a spectacular piece, and a mind-blowing value.
