Fedor simply was too small for Silva.

Arlovski...I really like the guy,it's sad to see that he suffered his third loss in a row when he's only 32 years old.

I will say this, Silva's got some ******* chin. He took some Fedor haymakers to his jaw AND temple, but kept walking through them.

Oh, and did I mention Gus Johnson sucks? Gus Johnson sucks.

Oh crap and the F'n main event too. Doh!

great card nonetheless :lecture

I actually missed the Tournament. :( Any place to watch the fights?

Fedor lost? Thats what I figured would happen. Does anyone know the odds for the Fedor fight?

So I guess Fedor has the P4P fighter is out the window. Dana is either happy as hell or happy as hell.

A few analysts still say Fedor is the best HW of all time. Its hard to remember anything hes significantly accomplished in the last 5 years :dunno.

not sure, i dont know enough about him to say he is or isnt the best. Couture is defn in the discussion in my book. I know Fedor has a good record, but beating lower opponents doesnt count for everything. Not sure if Couture would be considered a LHW or HW when looking at his career as a whole too. I guess its based on perspective, but i would expect one of the current HW guys will go down as a better fighter than Fedor. Fedor should just sign with the UFC for one fight against one of the heavy hitters of the HW division to see how he would do.

I agree in regards to the last 5 years, but as of right now, if Fedor retired, he would go down as the best HW ever.

Will someone supplant him? Of course. But not as of this moment.

I'd place Noguiera, Cro Cop, right after him.

TKO? No. 55 pound weight difference is pure madness. There should be a Super Heavyweight division.

wow, to see Andre get dropped again I kinda felt bad for the guy. I think Kharatonav...(sp) wasnt to be taken lightly. As for Fedor, well I still love the dude, but yeah I think his days are done. He just doesnt havent it anymore, I knew he wasnt going to have an easy fight with Silva. He looked good defending, but was still eating way to many punches and the size and strength of Silva was just to much for Fedor. He got whooped fair and square. People cant make excuses for Fedor, I mean like I said I love the dude, but he got his ass kicked. No Shame, i'll always be a fan.
Overall a great card though, some really good fights, I cant wait for the 2nd brackets.

I wouldn't say judging by his 2 last fights that he's done...Yes his loss to Werdum was kinda embarrassing,he dropped Werdum on his ass but he didn't think of the consequences jumping in Werdum's guard but that fight was over too quickly to say anything about his performance.
He had a decent first round last night, but the amount of energy he used in the first round,i can see why he weren't able to push away that monster Silva in the second.

He has always been the P4P best fighter in the world and still is...:chase

:lol

So did Fedor lose?
And who is Silva?
Tim Silva?
Sorry for the noob questions but I cant watch strikeforce because im from the UK and cant find anywhere to watch it :(

Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva

:lol It was, and it wasn't without its risks either because Fedor could've demolished Werdum from guard like he did Big Nog. But Werdum felt his BJJ was better and he felt like that his best chance of winning. And he was right.

Now the Antonio Silva fight was a whole different case. Silva outclassed Fedor and just straight whupped his ass. He surprisingly won the stand up battle and clearly won the ground battle. Fedor was dominated on every level, by a fringe Top 10 fighter.

That's 2 back-to-back losses and 0 wins since 09 with BOTH losses coming by stoppage by low end Top 10 fighters (Bigfoot is #10 and Werdum at the time was ranked #8).

Best in the world!? :lol
