I thought he did? :dunno

Yeah i really do hate Ebay .
The seller has no rights at all , first of all in a real auction house you can not retract your bids so why should be able to on Ebay.
Also waiting for people to pay is ridiculous , but then they expect the item to be sent straight out after waiting for 7 days for the payment.
And the 10% fees is way over the top especially if you have paypal fees on top of that.
Why should you have to accept paypal if you don't want to , i prefer cheques.
Also when you sell a blu-ray , dvd of video game the postage cost is no higher than £1.00.
It cost's £1.00 just for the jiffy bag, then there is the postage cost's themselves.

LOL had an international buyer try to bully me and treat me like I dont know ____ about ebay.

Bought a $400 item off of me without contacting me first about shipping prices etc. After he wins the auction he then proceeds to make his demands that express shipping is not needed and priority international is fine and cheaper for him, and that he wants me to claim on the customs form that the value of the item is $35 instead of $400. LOL!!

I had a good laugh as I filled out the customs form and reported the full value of the item so that I could get it fully insured. I figure if he didnt contact me about this crap before he wins my auction why should I give him the respect of acknowledging his demands.

Long story short, he gets the item and has to pay $50+ in customs duties :lol. He tells me he's pissed because now he wont make any profit off of the item when he resells it in his country and asks me to refund him $25 to help cover the $50 customs duties so he can "break even" on his deal with another person.

I tell him to go F himself because I wont commit mail fraud for him and if he ships the box back to me I wont accept it and he'll eat those international shipping fees to send it back to me. havent heard from him since. :lol

I got my first negative and I have almost 1800 feedback. Look at the title of the item and what the retard in Vegas wrote. I offered a refund but not on shipping.

I've got a few things for sale on Ebay at the moment and just had a bidder retract their bid citing that they entered the wrong amount. No problem, but it took them 4 days to realise!!! :cuckoo:

Had a look at the bidders account and seen they've had 82 bid retractions in the 12 months they've been a member!! Yes 82 in 12 months!!

Also the bidder is someone on these very boards. The only reason i know is that their Ebay i.d is the same as their forum name.

Sounds like they are putting in high bids to see the highest bid on the item, to see if it's worth them buying.

Either that or they are just an idiot.

I hate ebay but best place to sell other than on here if you can find the buyers:(

Post the name so we can all prevent him from bidding on our auctions.

I ran into that, mostly when I had extra Mattel 12" Ghostbuster parts I was selling. Got several people asking if it was kid sized :cuckoo: I had a 1/6th trap that ended up being sold for $75 because the person thought it was full sized and wanted it for their kid's birthday party. They did end up paying, though...even after I explained again exactly how big it was.

The whole "entered wrong amount" for bid retractions is a horribly abused system. I really would rather see eBay enforce a policy where you are required to enter a new bid amount at least equal to the first increment over the previous bidder as part of allowing you to cancel the higher one. Of course, if they do that, people will just start selecting another reason for cancellation...

The way I usually handle them is that if there is a bid and an immediate retraction, I don't worry about it. Mistakes happen. If there's a bid and it's not cancelled until several days later, they are added to my blocked bidders list.

I do the same thing. Had some dork bid twice and then retract the bids after a day on a 7 day auction, blocked his ass :lol

Also a tip, if a buyer keeps asking questions about a item, block them. Cause if they win the item they won't be happy with it and will just end up being a major headache.

Bought something on the 1st, he's local in the US and he just shipped it, I went with US because I figured it's a small part and I'd get it quickly. Looks like I'll be waiting as if I bought it from China :banghead

I really want to start doing that, just worried if eBay would shut the auction down if I did?

Yeah ebay no doubt will cancel the auction and give you a warning.

Not sure how they spot each auction infraction, must be automatic if it exceeds a certain amount.
I've tried that dodge before and have been given a slap on the wrist, as I have with shill bidding, to avoid listing fees and the same old story.

Take a 13 question tutorial and then whether you get the answers right or wrong, they let you go straight back to selling, with the one condtion, that you sell "buy it now" for 14 days.

Ebay is really a toilet, they turn a blind eye to shill bidding, rarely prosecuting anyone for it.

At the end of the day it's a buisness but they are taking the piss.
Whether that guys auction runs or not they will still get him with the money transfer through paypal which is also owned by ebay.

Best way to avoid fees is to sell private and accept the money as a "gift" but not many people are trusting as they have no buyer comeback if the seller decides to rip them off or the item gets lost in the mail.

Evilbay is what most people are stuck with I'm afraid.:(

Well, just sold a Dutch body on eSmack and just got this today after shipping a MINT Dutch body that was double wrapped with bubble wrap and packed with peanuts.

"Hey, just got the body today, but something went horribly wrong. i barely bent the knees and they ripped right off, lol. So, just wondering if there is a refund or partial refund so i can get the legs fixed or something."

what a prick. Nothing funny about the situation. How the heck do you rip off a pair of trutype knees right off?

I dunno man this was a solid body that came off my Sgt. Slaughter custom. I had it insured for the full amount which was $100 of the value of the auction, I told him to file a claim with USPS for the damages in transit and if there was anything else I could do to provide proof of insurance I would be glad to help.
