Does anyone here NOT like the super predators

I've had a lot against them ever since the first pictures made it to the internet. I really dislike the lack of armor, downgraded wrist blade, and almost no weapons.

I honestly didn't even like Mr. Black's face and I hated the mask with that dumb jaw bone thing. Hot Toys Berserker head looks cool though will the black and red scheme but other then that I'm disappointed.

The movie designs are kinda MEH. they look less like Techno-savages, and more just like savages.
I like the hot toys figures even less. The reduced articulation completely killed it for me. didn't get any of them.

I've grown to like them over time but I wasn't fond at first. I'm collecting both HT and Neca's figures. Though NECAs are more proportionally accurate I've come to prefer the way HT are doing them if I'm honest. Longer, thicker dreads would have been nice but Berserker is a beast of a figure, as looks to be Falconer. I think the NECA figures look a bit wimpy compared to other figures of that scale whereas the HT ones look like Arnies of their species. So quite a turnaround for me, I was one of the ones who was p!$$ed off at Berserkers apparent shrinkage, his small head etc.

Now if only they can up their paint quality and accessory count. Size would be nice too .
This is the main issue, actually. With NECA, you get great sculpts but the overall figure's coolness is covered by nasty paint and poor QC. We were all like "Don't worry about it. HT will get here soon and give us the true end-all, be-all versions of these Preds." Yeah, sure. Gorgeous figures with little accuracy.
There's a give-and-take scenario no matter which company you buy from. Hopefully NECA's 1/4 P1 will bring the best of both worlds together and is a success, leading to more definitive representations like it. I started missing my HT P1 a month after I sold it. Not very much, just went through my old pictures and reminisced a little. Then I saw the latest update pic for NECA's... and I honestly couldn't care less about any other figure of that particular character. Maybe someday we'll get that treatment with all of the Predators and Aliens.

Perfection's a lot to ask for, but we can only hope to reduce those give-and-takes as much as possible. So far, it hasn't happened. Maybe the new stuff this year will change that and we'll finally be able to have the absolute or ideal Predator without it looking like some cheap toy that can break in your hands.

They were all unique and different and I feel they added well to the Predator universe.

I don't mind their primal and simple look. I love the Berserker and Tracker design.

The Predators sequel needs to move away from that look though and go back to basics IMO. We have seen the new 'super' Preds, we don't need to see them again. Plus we don't need a rehash of the P1 or the P2 design either.

In my opinion (talking strictly about design), I feel that the classic predator is obviously the best. Predator 2 seems close enough but more tribal, and AVP preds feel more high tech. Super preds seem kind of awkward at first because they lose a lot of the trademark look and feel of the classic predator.

However - once I had the berserker predator from Hot Toys in-hand, I'm starting to warm up to the new designs.

Superpreds ok,.... but that LOTR tree and those horned-dogs?, then i say Hmmmm, ok what ever?,....
IMHO thought that tree-looking-thing was the biggest BS in the history of PREDATOR.
Then the horned-corn-dogs and then the super-preds.
They should have just stayed with the super-preds instead of introducing LOTR into the movie, LOL.

been having a hard time "liking" berzerker in hand as well. only bought it due to the allegedly sheer SUPERsize...which didnt turn out as promised.

i kinda find the design BLAND in the long run. :[

I like the designs and how they feel like a different breed of Predator, but I didn't really care for their on screen portrayal. Mr. Black was the only decent one, but he had more downs then ups.

I think the Predators in the movie were limited to how good the movie was and how far it delved into who they were. The movie was lazy sometimes. It was cheap too. But i liked it.
I heard somewhere the Pred dogs couldn't eat or survive on their own due to their spikes preventing them from feeding easily - hence their dependence on the Tracker for food and obedience. I liked this idea but it was never explored.
Noland dies weak. A guy the Bezerker has been hunting for many seasons, and who is a multiple Predator killer but just gets wasted by a plasma blast in a corridor is lazy.
The predators all die weak. Two of them are mortally wounded by suicide bombers, the other in sword combat , cheapens how bad ass they were or in fact aren't. The movie was clever so many times but was just as dumb.
What Predators do in life echoes in eternity...and my movie ratings.

I like the super Predators. When we first saw the on set pictures of them looking fat and plain i was very unimpressed. But when the promos started coming out and clear shots of the suits how they are meant to look i came to like them.

Then i seen the movie... and i thought they were super lame Predators because they went down ever so easy.

After a while though and id gotten over my feelings of shame for them in the movie i have came to accept them. I liked Berserker for majority of the movie but it pisses me off to no end when people ask who would win in a fight between him and other Predators we have had in movies because he literally showed us he couldnt take on any of the previous Predators we had.

Then the toys came out. I love the HT figures. I had a Neca Falconer too and that was cool but i dont really collect smaller sized figs.

Overall i can say i like the Super Preds but with a bit of ambiguity as ive had my moments of dislike.

We should be glad that someone did something with the Predator movies.Granted they had a huge change in look but it may lead to some good things vs nothing for years.In part i do like the new super predators.Love the masks and there style.

I prefer the older designs, particularly Wolf. But, Berserker has the best Bio of any pred. hands down.
