c'mon, 3 Michael Jacksons but no Cash?! Vote for the man in black! I'd LOVE to have a figure representing his folsom prison concert!

I love how everyone keeps going to the "we have multiple representations of M.J, so why cant HT make a *insert random artist*" argument. Why is that statement even relevant? Just because HT has made multiple M.Js, they should give every artist the same treatment?

No matter your personal feelings about the man, theres no denying that NO other artist has EVER (& will NEVER) have the sales, impact & overall global appeal that M.J had. So it only seems right that HT would cater to releasing multiple Jackson figures, as opposed to releasing figures of people whos international fanbase cant hold a candle to M.Js

Not trying to down or rag on your idea, but we really have to be realistic about what we think HT would choose to make.

BTW, Is the Asian market familiar with Cash & his music?

The Beatles did, did it first, did more, and did it in only 10 years so your agrument is invalid. Plus they didn't have to die to sell figures. :wink1:

Kiss is also very high in sales and has even more visual appeal than MJ.

"more visual appeal than MJ"= Personal Opinion

Last time I checked there were only two living Beatles members, so... Although we've yet to see an official HT release of their likeness, Im sure since two members are no longer living, it would be more of an incentive for people to purchase;just as that was a selling point for the MJ figures.

Ok, ill agree on the whole Beatles sales > MJ sales argument...But in all honesty you cant honestly believe that Beatles had more of an impact than MJ. If you do thats fine, I respect that..But it really baffles me...

Dont wanna turn this to a Beatles vs MJ debate. Sorry eczamurai for the high-jackin'

I voted no. No interest at all.
The man made some good music, but I wouldn't buy a fig of him.

:lecture:lecture:lecture
and the only person that did more then the Beatles is Mr. Cash himself....

3 or 4 MJ figures is a joke in my opinion...

I figure MJ had more of a "global impact" on culture than the Beatles (certainly in Asia and other non-Western places), though the Beatles no doubt had greater impact on music generally.

I would have considered an HT Johnny Cash, or various other artists that they will probably never make but that I love (I think Willie Nelson, Dr. John, George Clinton and Bootsy, David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, vintage Elton John, etc. etc. would be much more interesting looking on the shelf. . .). But yeah, since the poll is made, forget about it. If anything, I'll start a boycott poll if this figure is ever announced.

I'd buy a figure of Cash. Definetely. That's about it though other than maybe a Sinatra.
There have been a lot of MJ figures but he sells. Simple as that I guess.

Johnny Cash was the man. He didn't have a great voice, but other musician sang music with such feeling. I'd buy a figure of The Man In Black.

Elvis as well. He has lots of outfits to make figures from and would sell as well as MJ I would think.

The only thing that would get me to buy him is if there were other musical legends to go with. Elvis, Lennon, Morrison, Hendrix, Waters, Ozzy, Zappa, Burton. If they really wanted to impress me, I think a Robert Johnson figure would be the meanest thing ever.

I'd actually become a Hot Toys collector for a line like that. The problem is, I don't think they understand rock n roll. If they did, they would.
