hey friends
this is my machiko. a great figure but I never liked his helmet. time ago I made this prototype helmet. a perfect fit. I have a real duty to accommodate a human head.
IMO hottoys make fudge with machiko helmet. I would like to receive feedback to improve this prototype

anyone have more pictures of this figure? I'm interested in doing something. in my machiko.alguien dared to do it?

Wow, first I've seen of that custom. I'd love to see more also if anyone has images.

And, TD, that prototype, in my opinion, needs a total rework. Something about it just doesn't mix well with the rest of the figure.
But that's just my opinion. Others could love it.

In any case I'd still love to see where this goes.

I've always loved the original design look of Machiko. Wish they could have kept the wild hair, but I'm not unhappy with the final hair style.

As for your custom, TD, how about something like Noland's helmet in Predators.

its the eyes. Its a bit out of place as its kinda too big.

you need to make it have a silhouette thats more in tune with the rest of the armor.

I always was kind of intersted in getting a Machiko...but never pulled the trigger. If the hair looked like that, I probably would have done it.

Looking good so far, perhaps add something to cover the ears that has small holes or slits to indicate for the ears.

Machiko's original helmet is not that great alas. That's one of the reasons why I display her without the helmet.

I got one a few months back for about £115, not a bad price and there still are some out there at decent prices. One sold on ebay a couple of weeks ago for a buy it now of £100 it was missing a couple of parts but those could be easily picked up cheaply on ebay.

Must of been a different one the one i saw sold for £90 + £10 shipping, was titled she predator not machiko.

I bought this figure a few months ago and I really love it. However, lately I've been having trouble having the mask to stay on. When I first got it, the mask would "clip" on, no problem. Now I have to fiddle with it until I find just the right spot for it to stay on.

Does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Try heating it with hot water or a hair dryer and gently bend it back into shape.

Yeah, it's a pain. If I want to display it on I have to hold in the two sides for a half minute and then put it on. It'll stay if I don't touch anything at all, but sometimes just a tiny nudge will make it fall off. I gave up anyway and have it resting on her shoulder. Looks better that way, especially since I modded her.
