So many notable ones. Although not the best, this one also comes to mind:

I remember seeing it for the first time, being all "HOLY ____ING ____!!!!!!!!!!!" and rewinding the tape several times just to watch it and see if I could guess how they did it.

ThAt was the 2nd scene that came to my mind.

Death by care = everyday bland (those driver's ed movies did it better. ). Death by zombies = unique and spectacular. Besides, vintage Romero > Quentin Copycatino every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

The zombie kill is awesome but i've seen variations of that a 1,000 times.

the DeathProof kill was original and jaw-dropping.

Really old school for you . . .

Victims being dissolved by THE H-MAN where you see them slowly dissolving/shriveling away leaving behind only their clothes.

I own the original Japanese version (letter boxed w/ subtitles in Dolby Digital or whatever) on DVD showing an attractive exotic dancer being dissolved by the THE H-MAN liquid creature showing only her skimpy bras and panties when the authorities find her "remains". This scene was deleted from the US release back in the day. Go figure?

The end fight in "Apocalypto" when Jaguar Paw hit the guy that killed his father with a club is the best death scene Ive seen. Blood was squirting from the side of his head like a minie water fountain lol my second favorite death scene was when Magua got jacked up by Chingachgook for killing Uncas in "Last of the Mohicans.
