Damn, you're good.

I know I know.

But seriously, I don't think the texture is too exaggerated in those pics. How about we set our wayback machine to when those Christian Bale sculpts from the TDK Batman figures were first shown. I know hindsight is 20/20, but man, those sculpts had...character, if you know what I mean.

The level of ignorance found in a quiggle post is boundless.

Seriously...

We're not allowed to have figures of an iconic 80's character because of things the actor may have done years later?

:slap Thanks for reminding us what a crazed melting pot the internet is, Quiggle.

I do wonder if he had the same problem with the john connor or batman figures. What with the alleged situation with his mother and the now famous "bale freak out" rant. Or the dutch or T2 figure for the matter.

Yeah, that's a great example. The OC figure's mouth piece was pretty "bad" too. Like he suffered from pockmarks as a result of acne during his teenage bat-years.

Actually the part I think is more effective and potentially more over-looked is the scene almost directly after that. Sarah is sitting at the table all alone looking hugely vulnerable. She accidentally knocks a bottle off the table. Just as she bends down to pick it up you see the T-800 slowly, menacingly, methodically walking past scanning the crowd, in stark contrast to the dancers having a good time around it. That scene gives me the chills everytime

^yeah I love that bit. Thats why I wanted a Tech Noir T-800 first. I love the way the disco music goes distant and the Brad Fiedel stuff intensifies.

The shirt pattern changes throughout the film. trust me.
The main thing that bothers me is that Hot Toys have mistaken the word "Modern" for the word "Mode" LOL

I'm just not going to get myself worked up over the patterns on the shirt. To me thats like taking issue with Hot Toys for not precisely matching to the film the exact camo patterns of Dutch's trousers and vest. As long as the colours are there in the amounts that they should be I won't worry that one squiggle pattern below his collar is too slanted or should be further down compared to the film.

Yeah this^ is my favourite photo - just like the equivalent photo for the T2 T-800 was also my favourite.

Totally. It just adds to the tension and how absolutlely sinister the T-800 is.

I found an old pair of GI JOE Gargoyle sunglasses; smoke gray to complement the do-dads he comes with. This figure is going to rule. I haven't bought one in a while so this is perfect

In that picture, the battle damage arm looks like it's holding something in it's fingers... what is that?

I think his hand is bloody aswell as his arm.

Honestly, I would have never noticed that the pattern on the shirt was wrong if people didn't point it out.

The lack of black shirt with the T2 T-800 was noticeable, but the 80s nature of this shirt with the design being all over the place makes it "good enough" as far as I'm concerned. I get the idea.

Yeah, that black undershirt with the "neon colored" symbols was a classic 1980s shirt. I had a sweater with similar designs on it when I was a teenager in the mid-1980s. It looks good enough to me. You really don't see much of it anyway with the big jacket that he wears over it anyway.

Same here. I like my figures accurate too, but I'm not one of those sticklers that goes OMG its off by 0.5mm. It doesn't have to be 100% dead on. We're talking about something that was sculpted, tailored, and painted by a group of people and I hope it STAYS that way. Instead of a cookie cutter half ass laser scan like WWE figures. If and when HT does Reese people are gonna _itch and complain that(just assuming mind you) he won't have a Nike Swoosh on his shoes. Although it would be cool if J.C. Hong called Nike and said "I need some size 13 1/6 scale Nike's." And no I don't really know Michael Bein's shoe size.

yeah, the black shirt is perfectly good enough as far as im concerned...even with the mistake of the word "Mode" being used instead of the word "Modern".
and the pattern is fine, because as i said before, the pattern changes throughout the film anyway.
nothing to worry about.
im just waiting to see the back of this figure to see how accurate they got the pattern of the metal studs(they have got it wrong on his elbow but its still close enough)
overall, ive seen enough of this figure to have made my mind up about it....and i ____ing LOVE IT!!!
without a doubt my favourite figure ever.
i cant thank hot toys enough to be honest.

It's possible the shirt pattern may be different to avoid license fees for it, so it isn't exact.

Just like a kid John Connor's Public Enemy shirt would also carry a license fee.

Hey fellows, do anyone know a site where this figure will receive the T-800 before Sideshow and for less? Thanks.

I have 20/20 vision and the sculpts never come off as that grainy and detailed in my hands. It's almost like blu ray, I think there's such a thing as being "too detailed". Sometimes less is more.
You have a point. Hot Toys could take a lesson from Sideshow. Imagine a Tech Noir T-800 with this kind of paint application:
