Hey does anyone remember a kids puppet show that used to be on like 10-15 years ago ..im confident it was a british show, anyway i think it was called Riddley riddles or something like that, the puppets had wool/string like hair and they had human proportions and they were a family who lived in a big house.
Just asking because it scared the crap out of me when i was younger.

Spoilery comments...

Finally watched this week's episode last night - good stuff. It still looks to me like people with money have something to teach our captives (we know daddy's girl, Alan Ruck, and the woman with the daughter all have people with money that want to potentially get rid of them at least), and I'm still pretty sure that the Marine is the mole, if there is one. Only reason not to suspect him is his burning himself looking for the edge of the 'fence'.

It does still seem like there's some sort of 'teaching' going on, since they are being provided puzzles to solve. The first restriction on leaving was the implant - they found and removed that. Their captors clearly expected it. Second was the microwaves. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't seem to do anything to figure that one out - not sure if the 'lightening' was real or their captors trying to see what they'd do. Hmmmm...

There's a bit of the Dome going on here too - the teleporting technology seems a bit out there. Are there aliens in the attic?

My brother said could this be something to do with aliens? also the hotel guy they beat up didn't look to have all the cuts on his face when he came out to them at the end.

Well i think it was the same guy anyway.

Of course, we don't really know what happened when they approached that bright light. There's nothing to indicate that it simply teleported them directly back to town - I actually thought that they were simply rendered unconscious and then transported back to town where they woke up, probably hours later. So, I'm not ready to buy into the alien explanation quite yet.

Wasn't the car still moving when they saw the welcome back sign? i can't remember now and it was only last night i watched it. :lol

I still pay for Sky tv and have no download limit with Virgin Media so that's good. But buying HT/Sideshow is better than paying for tv. :lol

Yea, it's merely a long mini-series.

As to aliens, yea, they haven't shown us anything yet that can't be explained. I don't think they just passed out and woke up - it would be a tad tricky to have them all wake up at exactly the same instant - but it's still not necessarily aliens.

I mentioned earlier that the 'lightening' striking and taking out the microwave device seemed odd. As a coincedence, it's lame, and as an act of the captors it seemed out of place. Why would they want to give the team an answer and let them try to escape? Ah, and then it came to me - to show them the utter futility, and to further break their spirit. Teach them a simple lesson - trying to get past the microwave device is not the way out. I think the captors are trying to focus them back on solving WHY they are there as the answer to how to get out.

And how was the butterfly a reward or prize? Hmmm...

When i first seen this thread "Persons Unknown TV Show" ..i thought it was a thread for shows you slightly remember or don't know the name of from your childhood lol:slap ..and thats why i brought up that puppet show and asked "what is this show you are talking about" :lol:slap

Is there a thread for shows people forget? ..because i made one, thought it would be an interesting thread! https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2608291#post2608291

I missed the 1st eps. But I watched last night what I think was eps #2. Any way, the show dose look engaging but the super high tech Si Sf way of keeping them from leaving is a draw back for me. Its a corner cutting method that relieves the writers from the burdon of coming up with creative ways of keeping the hostages in place.

Plus that whole element of high class servants who act as if every thing is ok.....well it just kinda smacks of old school Twilight Zone. Mind you, I'm still on the fence about if that is a good thing or a "lets hijack the thunder of a si fi great to use in our show" bad thing.

time & a few more eps will tell if this show is worth the viewing or not.
