I need to work on my Toht. I think with right type of paints, I can make the Sideshow coat look closer to leather. I also need to make the pinch considerably tighter.

Here are a couple pics from when I was trying to capture the odd "non-black" color of the coat. They're not great art by any means, but they definitely show the difference in quality between the SSC and DID's overcoats...

Looks pretty good! The color doesn't bother me too much from your pics, Boot. The coat just looks a little dingy, which would make sense in the context of the movie. The belt was definitely a let down in Sideshow's coat.
Does look alot better. In hand the color must be more off because the pics look OK.

Ya know, in hand it very much is OK. I think maybe too much has been made of the color (probably my fault). Again, it's not really brown-brown, but it definitely doesn't have that sleek, polished, jet black appearance his coat has in the film. It likely would bother some, but I think most people would be just fine with this on their shelves.
I really think the coat's buttons are the biggest problem; Those are brown. 100% without-a-doubt-brown. Seems odd to put brown buttons on a coat that's supposed to be a weathered black.
I don't know. I happen to like it as-is. No shoe polish or leather dye for me.

I got the coat really cheap (the seller couldn't remember where it came from) and it's definitely a chameleon. Certain lighting it looks green, other it looks a light-medium brown.
I like it but I'm still debating on re-coloring it.

I did not buy Becker necessarily to swap out for Toht, but come on Flosi from one lazy MFer to another don't make my lazy as go get Toht from the garage.

I took a couple of pics the other day too.... So what combo are you looking to see, WG? I have the Toht setup on the melted face and the Becker with the regular sculpt.... Should I take pics of both?

I've been collecting the parts for a custom Toht and wile I lack the melted head, I got the DID T. Becker suit for it. (I dipped the coat in some black dye to darken it up a bit.)
