I saw the trailer last night before IM2. Very intrigued with this movie now.
Yep. It's apparently an Area 51/Hangar 18 Alien Monster movie.

Well, I'll be honest...
I loved the setting, the monster, the concept, the visuals...
but I was so annoyed with the main characters, that having to endure it for hour and a half was almost as bad as watching ROTF...

It's so funny, I've already seen Iron Man 2/ this trailer twice and both times the crowds have let out a collective "huh?" and people look so confused.

All the news stories are saying it ISN'T Cloverfield prequel, but I guess it could be, if you wanna think that the Cloverfield monster originated in Area 51 and escaped.

After what Abrams did to my beloved Star Trek I don't think I'll ever trust him again with making a good movie.
When I saw the title of the thread I though "Abram's is making a movie about Super 8 Motels?!?"
OMG.......don't you like anything? The new Star Trek movie was awesome. My favorite movie of last year.

I thought so as well, and I freaking hate Star Trek. It was just a great movie overall.
~~I liked the trailer even though it didn't really show much. Looks cool enough...I need a movie with crazy monsters killing stuff.

The new Star Trek was an excellent movie and reinvigorated the franchise.
sorry but my powerful mind just doesn't have a "tool mode" to shift in too. But eerrrr a yeeeah.....invigorated the franchise *snicker snicker* (oh damn I really wanted to say it with a straight face). Dude the flick was an endless string of catch phrases & clichés. Its like instead of telling a story they just threw together a bunch of scene where each character gets a chance to say their lil one liner that made their character famous.
& the kid driveing the Vett off the cliff for ABSOLUTLELY NO REASON...........well you get my drift.
then again.......i forgot who I'm talking to.
