Have to agree. Just look at how the Tumbler was dealt with when it was released. Don't think Hot Toys will want to go through that again.

Its a different barrel of monkeys than the Tumbler. 1:6 Cars have been done before, remote controlled and stationary. HT was simply putting their touches on something already established. Iron Monger from the design would be something completely new and developed not to mention specific to the point of non usable again unless they went "BD". The structure makes it impossible to build it over a TT, at least a full one, and so it'd either have to be really hollow which would equal breakage nightmares or completely solid which would shoot the price through the roof. On top of all of that it'd have to be just under 20" to be accurate in size and HT has avoided anything taller than a Predator which complex tooling like the plague. They did a Power Loader but that was more frame than anything else whereas something like this or the Hulk would be a serious undergoing. Which means headaches beyond belief. Even that kit from Boomer Toys or whatever that company was called was hollow and inaccurate. I guarantee you that its something that HT would like to do to overcome those challenges and test themselves but it isn't cost effective for the company.

If Whiplash gets armor by the end of Iron Man 2 and rumors are that he does, it'll be the closest thing we'll see to an armored enemy for Stark.

Do not agree that it is completely different. 1/6 cars may have been done before but not by Hot Toys. So what if 1/6 cars have been done before. This was the first time that Hot Toys tackled a project like this and it did not go well (not enough preorders, endless delays, etc). You can argue that Hot Toys has more experience making Iron Monger type figures with the work with ED-209 and the Power Loader. In the end it is all about profit and Hot Toys didn't see people lining up to purchase Iron Monger.

Gotta agree with this. Just because someone else made a tumbler shell for an RC car doens't mean that HT's engineering, sculpting, tooling, and prod costs went down.

Despite what Howard said here, I don't actually see Gordon happening at all cause from a profit stand point, he will sell even worse than Two Face and we still have Two Face on clearance everywhere.

I mean, yeah, sure, I will buy one and I am sure lots of us here will buy one but me and you guys here are just the minority in the market.

I would have thought that before, but with them making Sarah Connor, I feel like they might take chances on characters if they're into it as much as us. I really expect Sarah to be the Two-Face of the T2 line, but they're making her.

Great and unexpected news about Gordon, hopefully Hot Toys won't forget they said this. He and nurse Joker are 2 obvious gaps in the current collection of TDK figures. Heres hoping our Batman figures won't have degraded away before we get him!

Really good news about Gordon, hopefully Scarecrow will be in Batman 3 and we'll finally get him too.

I doubt they'd bother putting Scarecrow in Batman 3, he already had his brief reappearance in TDK, what else could they do with him.

It would be nice though if HT would revisit Batman Begins.

I think it would be very interesting to see them bring Ras back after the events of TDK. Bats will be hunted and lonely (more so than ususal after Rachel's death) in the third one, so it would be cool to see what kind of dynamic they could come up with.

But given the "real world" feel they go for in these I don't know if they'd want to explain away Ras still being alive.

Great news. I'm sure HT will knock him out of the park. DX him and include his SWAT uniform.

I think Dent/Two-Face they simple overestimated the demand. With the proper expectation I am sure Gorden will still sell enough to make some money for them. There are afterall tons of ppl that like to complete a series. Besides Making Gorden will involve a lot less R&D and can be assigned to a less experienced and costly team to do.

If they DX Gordon, I'd rather get the Batsignal included with him than his SWAT gear.

Is there some rights issue with Morgan Freeman? No one seems to be talking about wanting a Lucius Fox 1/6. I know I would.

I really don't see Gordon getting DX'd though... DX04 is probably going to be Reeves' Superman.

Hahah I'd love a Lucious too and I dont think there's any licensing issue, I just think HT feels they wont make any money off it. Hell Two-Face is a popular character and he didnt sell well either.

DX04 is gonna be cripple Superman (thanks devil666 :lol) or Jack Sparrow, or Rambo i think.
