Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

Yes we are jagmike well said!! Josh I think hate is a very strong word, I don't hate the 1:6th line just a bit too doll like for me but I wouldn't and didnt say I hate them! :peace

Now where was I? oh yes, ready jagmike on 3,...... 1, 2, 3...KUM BA YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! :rotfl

I don't get the "doll" comments at all. They're absolutely nothing like dolls. Nothing in the 1:6th lines I've had from SS or HT is anything like a doll that you can get at WM or Target. I think that line if thinking is closed minded at best but to each their own. I tend to respect what others collect kind of sad others can't do the same.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

I'm starting to think this is gonna be the Morgul Lord on the Fell Beast in p.f. and cost close to $1,000 if not more.

LOTR's p.f. version of the Biker Scout on Speeder Bike.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

I still don't see how it could be done. At 1:4 scale, the Fellbeast's wingspan alone would probably be over 6 feet. Think of an Albatross, and that's a pretty good comparison, size-wise.

The cost to produce such a piece would be astronomical, not to mention the ridiculous cost for shipping something that massive. Unless Sideshow intends to introduce a 10-payment Flexpay option, I just don't see how we'll be able to afford it.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

I doubt we would see the full beast. I would say the head and a saddle. Kind of like a lsb with a figure atop.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

A PF of the ML on a full FB? Never in a hundred, never in a thousand, never in a million years!!

(But we can all still dream.)

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

Given the sugested pose of the glimpsed ML, he looks like he's looking back at something (or someone?) stabbing his leg?

Either that or he's stood in FB sh**e! :D

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

I could be wrong, but it looked like the armature was somewhat posable, and maybe that is only to allow the sculptor to move and manipulate the piece while working on it, and the pose we see in that blurry snapshot is likely not the final pose of the figure.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

Not if the PF is in 1/6th or 1/8th! :O

Has Sideshow ever released a PF that wasn't 1:4 scale? Maquettes can be any size, but I'm pretty sure Sideshow reserves the name "Premium Format" for their 1:4 scale, mixed-media statues. I could be wrong, though.

All PFs are 1/4th.

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

At least Tom Gilliland confirmed it was a PF and that it's coming next. I forgot to ask about the FB though.......:banghead

Re: Witch-king / Lord of the Nazgul PF?

Fell Beast or not, the next P.F. IS going to be the Morgul Lord then woodsy?
