Are me and him really the only ones who get this??

Thats a perfect Don Cheadle ever-so slightly compressed to fit inside that helmet.I really do nt get what all the complainings about:confused:If they alter that I suppose everyone will be complaining they wanted the first one.Do nt know why people ca nt just be contented sometimes and give credit where it s due.

no, u guys aren't the only ones. it's not 100% don cheadle to me, but it's a pretty good likeness. i can see him in the sculpt. personally, i think the only features that need tweaking are the eyes. cheadle has heavier eyelids, compared to the ht sculpt. and maybe the nostrils could be a wee bit more flared. other than that, it's there.

This next to my gunmetal IronMan is going to look sick! I can't wait for this to ship. I'm pre-ordering now.

i was thinking the same thing. i have this and the mark 2 and bd iron man mark 3, so was wondering how to pose those 3 good. i was thinking bd in the middle, mark 2 on the left, wm on the right, all guns blazing!!

At first i didnt see don cheadle in the sculpt. But the more I looked at it...I can agree the likeness is there. I think your right that the nose needs to be flared a little. maybe that is what is the missing piece. lol

Im worry about those articulated fingers. You know how weak small parts are on a Hot Toys figure.

I'm not really into the jointed fingers either. There's a high chance of them being loose or prone to breaking. Aside from the novelty factor, I don't really see the necessity for the jointed fingers on this figure.

It does bring up the question of whether or not this will be a feature spanning all the armors in this line.

Well they include all the regular hands too so I don't see it being an issue in any way and since he has no accessories to hold they don't need to be strong.

As far as display goes I was planning on mkI, II, War Machine, III, IV (if it gets made,), V, VI. Since War Machine is basically the mkII augmented.

does Vikingplayground usually ship 1 month after hong kong releases
the figures? and does urbancollector ship after 1 month? which site to you guys think i should preorder it from?

VP ships around the same time SSC ships. Whenever that happens to be. Usually a couple days later. I don't think you're going to find the HK release for the $160-ish price anywhere or you will but the shipping will be like $40-50 instead of $10-15.

Oh yeah, you can count on all Marks from IM2 to be made.

:rock2

I'd say the mkIV will be last and only if the line sells well which it almost definitely will given how well the first clearly did. It's the mkII of this movie.

Yeah looks like retail ends up being in the $160-162 range which is what I was hoping for :)

I really thought that War Machine would end up being a long time coming. I am really glad that I was wrong.

I saw this figure for the first time in Sideshow's newsletter last night and ordered 2.

All I can say is...WOW!

Actually I'd say the Mark II of this movie is the Mark V. The Mark IV is the starter piece just like the Mark I is. The Mark II was the transitional and for all intents and purposes it looks like the Mark V is the transitional as well. It still might be last but remember HT loves to redo things if they can. With the articulated waist and the movable fingers I could see them doing the Mark IV to add the new tech like they did with the Batman Original Costume from The Dark Knight. Its fairly close to the Mark III with only cosmetic differences.

never ordered from them... how are they? alterego has theirs up for $161.99

Really? I wonder what it'd be shipped to my house....I know Alter Ego gets their shipments from Sideshow so it'd arrive later but from Sideshow it'd cost me $200 shipped which is a bit more than I wanted to pay.

LOL Why 2?

One masked, one without or lifted. I did the same thing with all of my pieces for Iron Man 1.
