Thanks, and though I'm sure Scorsese was brought in for the more extensive, dramatic part of the video, remember that MJ also brought his pal Marlon Brando in to cameo in one of his later music videos. To some extent, I think MJ did things like that just because he could, even if it wasn't exactly necessary.

The big picture looks incredible but the little pictures look a bit weird imo, kinda like someone has edited the head onto a picture? I'm waiting to see more pics :sick

No question! Also, he really wanted to get into directing for most of his life, so he liked to pick film directors he liked for his videos so he could watch and learn.

HOLY CRAP!!! Why couldn't his face looked more like that in the thriller one?! Aside the lighter skin of course, but the facial likeness is AWESOME! They need to just pop that face on the Thriller one and I'd buy that.

Dang! Amazing likeness this time round!

It has to be nice to have the kind of fame and money where you can just do that. I know Spike Lee and David Fincher (earlier in his career) worked on his videos, as well. But Landis was the one case where a reasonably well known director really made a difference. No way Thriller would have been what it was without him.

And to nien's post, I'm also hoping that we'll get a more solemn, or determined (i.e. not happy) Thriller-era headsculpt eventually. But I know that Smooth Criminal will be released prior to a Motown Billy Jean/Beat It MJ, if either of those come at all.

Yeah, the rest of the time you can hardly tell, it's true. Like with They Don't Care About Us - I really like the video and everything, but he hardly needed Spike Lee to direct it. Although to be honest, if I had that kind of pull, I can't honestly say I wouldn't be tempted to get as many of my idols as possible to work with me just because I could.

:confused:Looks like an asian man dressed as Michael Jackson.
those eyes are far too eastern looking.
I don't know. To some extent I could see where people were coming from with the Thriller version, but check out one of the video links above. I think MJ's eyes and face started morphing a bit in that direction at this stage of his life. Maybe that's just me, though.

That's what MJ's eyes looked like:

Show-off :D

So, you figure we are getting the same stand as Joker and Bats? I'm trying to figure out exactly what makes a figure a "DX" release, and by the looks of those pics, the stand is part of the package.

Seems like its the lighted stand, PERS and comes with a lot of extras, or enough to make a 2nd figure.

Seems like the Thriller release could have been a DX if it had PERS and that stand.

SpawnFan you are the one who took that picture of Rorschach !! Please tell me they are making him for real and that was not a custom

So the "DX" nature of this figure is you can take off his jacket and suddenly transform him into "Dirty Diana" MJ?
You sell it short. Dirty Diana MJ also comes with an extra belt!

--edit: TWO Extra belts!! :D --

But is there enough here to make a second figure? Was there with Batman? There is enough to make 2 separate figures if you buy 2 DX figures, but without a completely separate outfit and headsculpt, at least, these are just glorified 2-in-1 figures with fancy stands and googly eyes, the way I see it.

--edit 2--no, I guess they aren't, either. 2-in-1s only require an extra body. . .

Of course, this figure might come with 2 separate outfits and heads. . .
