well for those that complained that the original MKIII wasnt 'hot rod red' will sure be happy now! that looks really bright in comparison to the MKIII paint job!

i always thought the paint on the MKII was the perfect color when compared to the movie photos etc!

im keeping my order as ive already got rid of my MKIII!

now its been unveiled, how long til SS get the EX. in stock?

The prototype has a very nice weathering effect on the suit with semi-gloss to flat finishing and great battle damage touch up. But the final product seems missing all of those .... gloss finish with child like BD effect? Even I can do better than this. God I thought MJ was bad. This .... can not .... be true ....

Being the 2nd most expensive HT figure, Kojun sculpt which is one of the major selling point is gone and now this? This is a bit hard to swallow. Is funny how HT said in their newsletter how hard they work on this project bla bla bla and we should respect them bla bla bla, but as a customer, I really dont care how hard they work, I see a product I like, I buy, simple. As for respect .... earn it.

Sorry, I am piss, but will give this Hasbro like IM a last chance (may be bad lighting make it look bad) when I see it on TH display later this week, then I'll decide to keep it or not

Be cool if Hot Toys give to everyone who preorder this figure the crushed helmet.

If HT gives crushed helmet to everyone, SS needs to adjust their price. I am not paying extra for an exclusive that is available to everyone.

OMG you dun loose your head that easily I first thought that the paint job is diff from the HT shots as well but I thin kthe flash is killing all the details that I expected. Look at the other photo from the forum and you can see more details, weathering and dark hues of the red. Comon don;t let the fearmongers get to you

Looks like a great paintjob! They had to layer a chrome first before the red to get this look so certainly a lot more work involved with this one! LOOKING GOOD!!

oh that be sweet almst look like it but upon closer inspection of the picture I does not look like. Also kind of hard to allow you to turn it while all gaps would be covered since the shape is not round

Isnt that an old photo of the first prototype tho? Because looking at the battle damage on the mask, it's the proto style and not the one we have seen in the backstage pass, so it could indeed be different.

I can't read Chinese and the goolge translate thingy aint working for me somehow so I can't tell what it is saying but it looks like a display at Toyshunters. It could be the prototype it could be the final product, depends on when this photo was taken I guess
But heck I prefer to be an optimist anyways :chew
You maybe right.... looking at the backstage the faceplate does look mediocre compared to this one. so if that is the prototype than we have no pictures of the final one afterall

Yeah I thought you were in HK and can see it for yourself you lucky SOB!!! So did you go by before and TH had the proto on display for a while? Noone updating this thread enough I didn;t even see the pictures of the Proto HS fomr the Milk magazine until all hell broke loose
But OMG if you don't like it throw it over man!! I have no M3 yet and want the crushed head bad!!!!

Ahh yes thats true, I'm not sure, but look at the head with the battle damage and then the backstage pass pic, its completley different, it's the old one and that sucks because the new damage looks terrible compared to the original, what a shame.

oh I see. so both are TH displays but they swapped the proto for the final one recently and pics are not just diff lighting but diff time and hence proto vs final.

to think I was getting concerned about the lack of the kojun HS. For me the colour scheme/paint job and BD was what was keeping me in the game. Unless I see better final photos soon I'm out and waiting for War machine!

People pls calm down, HT shop is closed in these 2 days and the fan have to use stronger flash to take the pics. Let us stay cool until the HK fan get their first stock tomorrow.

Like Batman DX, the display is completely different from the final stock, hopefully it's the same case for ironman battle damage

But I do agree that a lot of countries are involved for their overseas customers.

I just bought one on EBAY that will be shipped to NYC on Feb 18th after the end of the Chinese New Year in HK. It's coming EMS so I should have it by the the 23rd or 24th. I will post pics for eveyone once it arrives. I've got all the HT variations of IM so far-hopefully this one will be as good as the previous ones in the line, although the reaction I'm seeing the last day or so on this board does concern me a little.
