Mine has no smell at all. My Lantern doesn't move from the hand....interesting that yours came like that...

I just ordered mine off of EBay this morning for cheap (I offered a Best Offer price and actually won). I think the price of this one will be jumping up a bit in the near future judging by the EBay prices.

That could be. Either way this thing looks great. I wish they would redo a 1/4 Superman of this quality.

Got mine today in a huge box . I really liked it. The fabric and sculpt look great. The light works. I think this is definitely comparable to a Sideshow PF. It reminds me of the Captain America PF but skinnier.

Only two things. Ths cloth material has a weird smell which I assume will go away after a little while, and two, one of the handles from the lantern was separated. I popped it back in. Maybe it comes like this? anybody else notice these two things.

For those on the fence I recommend getting it quick while you can still pick it up for $200-$250 shipped.

The handle was loose/out of place on one side on mine as well. No big deal to put it back in place. I didn't have any weird smell though.

We shall see. I ordered a Wonder Woman Museum piece from the same seller a couple months back and the sword was broken clean off her hip. They sent me a whole new one to replace it, so I'd say it's safe to think I'll be okay.

Nope, I got to keep both of them. As you know, she doesn't look bad without the sword on the hip either.

Just noticing how similar the Hal pose is to Cap's. They are posed like mirror images of course, with heads at a slightly different angle from each other and their forward arms in different positions, but apart from that. . .DC even gave Hal the huge, bulky body type that Cap has there, which I don't associate with Hal Jordan.

Agreed, not bulky at all. Thinner frame but cut. Great scale to the Cap. GL is about 180lb and cap is 225lb. The statue is one inch shorter and a thinner frame version of cap.

Now DC Direct needs to mirror the thor pose and built with a superman 1/4 scale.

Now that would be amazing! Just a smidgen less bulk and the Thor pose would be a perfect Superman in flight.

That's why I ordered it. From the initial proto pics I thought he looked too bulky, but after seeing everyone post their in hand and comparison pics, GL looks just right.

Hal Jordan was never thin, its the Silver Age depictions that have him drawn so skinny but then look at Superman, Batman, even Shazam at this time period and they are all drawn scrawny. The only hero that is supposed to be stick thin is The Flash obviously. Hal is nowhere near as bulky as Cap but I will say he isn't a Silver Age look, he is sculpted like the current artist Doug Mahnke draws him.

Yeah, I'd say he's scaled perfectly with the SSC stuff. This works great for me since this will probably be the only DC PF I'll own.

btw: I took my lantern apart and it is just like incurable collector described - it works, but the cap doesn't hit the inner switch hard enough. I currently have it rigged with a little piece of plastic, but will give it a better/more permanent fix eventually.

It looks like a cool figure to me but I'm not so sure about the glittering outfit and the different shade of green in his costume/boots/lantern. Is this so noticeable in person?
