This is it's own figure, it's supposed to represent the first half of the film. Right up until he gets all the gear you are talking about.
A DX will more than likely come out with all that stuff but I don't buy that the DX will trump this figure when it comes out, they will both be different figures.

There will be other figures of the T-800, and likely a DX, but NOT of this look, this will likely be it for the clean look and they'll do some version or versions of BD phases and include the Cyberdyne weapons with that figure.
As was said, this isn't a half assed figure screwing with people before a DX, it's just a basic figure to start things that covers him right up to the point where he reveals his Endo arm at Dyson's home, and the next figure(s) will cover the rest of the film.

How much truth there is to the article, who knows, but something somewhat legit mentioned the DX, not just collector fear.
Now, I do think everyone's a bit freaked out by that and I don't think it should be assumed that if there's a DX it'll be a rehash or improved version of a previously released figure, I think with this property and it's age, they've got all the reference they could need or want so if a DX is done, it'll just be a deluxe figure of something unreleased, like a big BD pack that covers his semi and full BD looks in one package, pluse some Cyberdyne weapons that can be added to this first MMS figure to make a Cyberdyne shootout figure.

I still "plan" to hold out for a Dx version. However, he lack of movement on the their Marvel license makes it difficult to pass on the T2 and 300 figures.....They look so dayum awesome.
I can't even imagine how long it must have taken to sculpt the individual spikes in his hair.

As amazing as this whole figure is, the hair really is the most fascination part to me, good portraits, nice clothes, it's been done before, but actually spiked full head of hair is a first, usually it gets a brushed back kind of look and works, but this is just perfect representation of the style, I would really love to know how she did it.

The face paint is not as impressive as the official pics, but may be is the bad lighting, legs is a bit too long. I took a long hard look at the it's neck, seem like HT is using the rubber Dutch torso add a new pair of PVC arms and the X'mas VIP gift new TT lower half body on the T800
I pro-order it, $120 is a good deal
My guess, Sarah just like Sideshow's but with a second Cyberdyne head sculpt and the SWAT van guns, both the machine gun shot in their and the shotgun used in the steel mill.
T-1000, at least one figure with 1 or two BD heads that can be swapped out, hook arms and the standard patrolman uniform. If they do the Biker look, my guess is a DX package with both patrolman and biker costumes in one set, if the patrolman is a regular MMS, I'm not sure they'll do a biker figure too.
I figure on more T-800 release, a super loaded DX with all the Cyberdyne weaponry, plust portraits and accessories for semi BD and full BD looks.
