you cant really compare inae's work to rainman's. Inae is a signed with Hot Toys so obviously shes much better. Rainman is still an independent artist.

this is pitt. The other is a failure.

I think looking at Rainman's track record. He is better than anyone signed to Hot toys or any other company, only my opinion of course. Tylers likeness isn't as strong as the amazing Good, Bad, and Ugly headsculpts, but is still a thing of Beauty. It baffles my mind to think 1 (or a couple) artists could create a sculpt, paint job, and outfit like rainman does

I dont think these guys are taking in the figure as a whole rather just headsculpts.

Rainman's Van Cleef is perfect but Eastwood and Wallach lacks a bit.

Both sculpt looks good, IMO. Although I prefer rainman's paint job, which has that hot toys look, compared to inae's version, which has the toy-like sideshow star wars feel to it.

Velvet Morning's "Blondie" is the best one I ever see. Almost all the clothing is very similar to Rainman´s one but the shirt it´s better and the sheepskin vest it´s really nice also...the rainman´s blondie is not ok, just in my opinion. But the bad and Mortimer are simply perfect and regarding the ugly, the set and all the details are pretty well done, it´s simply perfect but regarding the likeness to Wallace...well, the head is very well painted but the sculpt would be better. But in any case all the details are very well done in these 3 figures I mentioned.
;)
IMO

Rainman offers very well done figures. It´s a pleasure to have some of theirs in my collection.
;)

Neither of these Pitt sculpts are perfect and both have sculpting and paint issue evident when blown up 300%.

I don't care for Velvet Morning's Blondie at all. Everything about it is very rough to me. But some insist it's the best version ever. :huh

As with any sculpt, there will always be those who see the likeness and those who insist they don't. Whenever a new one is unveiled the various fanboys on either side come out with silly attention seeking hyperbole fueled like posts like "fail" and "perfection". It's easier than an actual critique and a shortcut to thinking I suppose.

Fail.

:monkey3

sheesh, and you're excited about buying the ugly Shawshank figure.
Must be something in that canadian water.
No accounting for taste I guess. ;) :duff

Yeah I prefer the clothes on Rainmans ALOT more and the paint apps on VMs heads don't look that great. Amazing sculpt though.

Does anyone ever cop to having bad taste? Like being a villain or an ahole people rarely have much self insight.

but ultimately, whatever crap or treasure you enjoy in your collection is what matters.

Amazing sculpt though.

Meh. Doesn't do it for me, kinda globby. I prefer both the Hero Heads and Rainman versions. But as with everything in art and this hobby, YMMV.
