Thanks, but I did order a sweater earlier today from Toy Anxiety. Not sure if it was that one, but it was very similar if not. I'm slowly getting parts for him. I also got a dynamite bomb for him from Storerooms so he should have a little bit of explosives to work with

And again guys, lets not make this thread just about me. I figured we could all use this to show off our various Fireflys since there seemed to be a lot of people unhappy with Sideshow's "winter" version. At least that is how I'll look at him once my "classic" look is finished. Sideshow's would look nice next to waypoint 12. Heck, maybe it was even Firefly that bombed the heck out of the place?

This is something I threw together tonight. Same uniform that Buttmunch used. I am pretty sure that all of this is 21st Century gear except for the true-type.

I want to see if I can order a Cobra head for it and then I may try my hand at painting the camo pattern on it to match.

I am happy that I found a use for all of the 21st century stuff that I bought years ago. I was trying to put together a fireteam as they were when I was in the Marines, but in the urban camo pattern. I almost had it done, too.

No head yet. But I do have the boots. I like them because they are soft enough for some basic posing and detailed nicely with the eyelets painted.

I figured he had to have a sidearm for close-range defense. Also, he wouldn't be complete without his M11-style ordnance tool pouch.

The pack is just filled with cotton balls for now.

I gave him both of the hip grenade dumps I had. After all, it IS Firefly.

21st Century hands will need to be modified to fit the True-Type. And I figured that a face shield wasn't out of place on Firefly...except that he has no other exposive protection. I will need a gun upgrade as well. But this will do for now.

The way I figure it, Firefly ought to look like a walking time-bomb. He always seemed like the type that would rather go out with a bang than get captured. Plus, you never know when a few more explosives will come in handy!

I think it would be a good choice if a person wants to stay a lot closer to the original Hasbro Toy.

The Dynamite bomb is a neat idea, although I figure Firefly would likely use C4 plastique.

By the way...looking for a Pelican case, I ran across a cy girls jaqueline back pack that is a hard-covered pack...might be useable.

I figured it could be gutted and something that looks like tools could be put in it.

A few more updates:

I added a grey sweater
10 more grenades ( 14 total plus Flash and smoke, so 16)
added a second bandolier
added a balaclava (was green, dyed grey, looks green in pics looks grey in person)

The mask will either need more look (camo) or just replacing to a Cobra Trooper head or a SS Firefly head when he comes out. I still need a few more odds and ends (guns, backpack, etc). But he is already closer to looking like the Firefly we know and love than Sideshow's winter version (that is how I plan on using him now). I'll most likely remove most of the grenades from his bandoliers once I get some pouches and other things for them, but they'll do for now.
