"Product shown is not final" so they ought to be tweeking it, or, they're waiting to see how things pan out before committing.

blade trinity was not completely awful. there were some decent moments in it. but it's still not a very good movie.

overall, the cast was fine (reynolds was great), except for that idiot actor who played drake. he was overacting constantly. in fact the villain was the main reason why the movie ultimately failed, imo.

after 2 great villains (frost and nomak), we get a lame pseudo-bat-hulk who's not even remotely threatening. the so-called climax was just a letdown.

i re-watched blade 2 last night (yeah, been on a blade binge lately :D) and still feel it's the best of the lot. pretty great showdown at the end, and i really like nyssa's poignant death scene at sunrise. touching.

Blade 2 owns! Also my favorite of the trilogy. Nomak was so awesome and then the reaper strain was brilliant. Del Toro rules! :rock

And Goyer who wrote all three films directed Blade Trinity as his directional debut. So that could have had something to do with a weaker Blade film. A rookie behind the helm, and I agree that Drac was poorly miscast. Either way, I did enjoy Drac. Just not as much as I enjoyed Frost or Nomak.

Having said that, as weak as it was in comparison to the other two films, it pleased this movie goer as an action/comedy. Lets face it, it was definitely more campier and funnier than the other two films. I would say it's above average, but that Blade I and II raised the bar very high, so anything less than those was considered a let down.

Bad film? Hardly.

Yet again well said. It wasn't a bad film just weak compared to the first 2.

So if we are lucky and get at least 1 more character from the trilogy who would you want? I want Nomak to go with Blade from part 2. Or Whistler. :D
