I'm actually looking to get one made for my Tumbler! It's quite expensive though.

Where did you get your quotes? I was talking to a Forward Sign but those bastards want minimum $500 per order. If we get enough orders together maybe we can make it worth our while but just not sure whether there are that many locals but I will ask Eric @toys2. I am going to try to shop around some more this Friday and will also check the DIY route. Seems doable but just not so sure if I can get it to come out right.

...More pictures! (iphone for scale...)

That's the 2nd batmobile I saw with those damages (rubbed-off paint?). I now realize it's a very common problem.

All of the Batmmobiles have the same paint errors as seen in photo 1. These are spots where they used too much paint. It is a factory error. You will not find any without these. But that tire looks damaged.

Question to all who have this - was your tumbler delivered in just the brown HT cardboard box, or was there additional packaging (ie another cardboard box, or other packing materials) in addition to the HT brown box? I'm concerned abiut damage during transit and just wanted to know how these are being delivered and whether the packaging has enough protection
Thanks in advance.

If just the brown HT box, were there any issues (other than the paint rubs detailed in this thread)? Is the additional packaging on top of the HT brown box necessary?

Thanks in advance.

ummm......what??

It's true, we have all this paint problem... I'm happy to see everybody with this because I was surprised when I opened my tumbler... Some are larger than others. Mine are small or invisible with the light.

All I can say is mine travelled Hong Kong to England and arrived without a scratch the way it left the Hot Toys factory covered with a sheet of brown paper with my details written on.

Mine came in the HD cardboard box only, but I'm pretty sure that another box won't do anything more for protection. It's packed in there pretty good. I think whatever damage will happen, will happen regardless if it is in another box or not.

Not sure if that is a good thing or not...

It's sad this item has so many defects while the batpod almost has none. I'm glad yours was not too obvious. I think I'll list all the imperfections that I've seen so far in this thread:

1. Excess (or rubbed-off paint) on the roof and sometimes around the body,

2. Excess/sloppy glue around the interior part of the side windows.

3. Exposed LED red wiring in the cockpit.

4. Fragile small parts (especially the rear spoiler assembly). I think Mike Crawford broke his?

5. An average of 1 to 2 LED lights not working (very rare?)

6. Body has small chippings, scuff marks (very common?)

7. Broken steering assembly (very rare?)

I hope I didn't miss anything. Despite all these problems, I'm still going to my neighborhood dealer this weekend to give my downpayment for this item due for arrival next month. I'm kinda' late...

Don't see the need for a extra box. You have the main package with artwork and then you have the brown shipper.

well I just placed another order this time with toys2. Eric emailed me and told me he will check it out and send me pics for apporval before shipping.

BBTS did package my tumbler in an additional box. I have no paint issues or broken / damaged parts. I do think the additional box helps a lot during shipping.
