Sideshow vs. Hot Toys - Mark I RDJ portrait

neither one is dead on ... but hot toys is WAYYYY closer than sideshow
sideshow doesn't even come close

hot toys at least resembles downy jr ... sideshow...looks like ......i don't even know who

The Sideshow sculpt on the right is probably slightly better, but the paint and lighting doesn't do it any favors.

Sideshow's sculpt looks better but the paint made it trip at the finish line.

The HT sculpt and paint are adequate, but it is difficult to compare 1/4 to 1/6 in regards to detail.

The one eye on the Sideshow sculpt is distracting (probably a paint issue), but I think it looks more like Downey, Jr. than the Hot Toys version. That particular Hot Toys face looks a bit too generic, IMO.

I have Respect for both Company's but neither one is any where close to the pic in the middle, poor Workmanship or just Lazy to get it right, I exspect more!

Have to go with SS here. Thought that paint isnt verry good.

I agree.. the sculpt is exactly like the Picture used. HT looks like Generic RDJ. I still prefer the HT fig over the SS statue because I still have $230 in my pocket. the diference in sculpt/detail isn't +$230.

Sideshow's sculpt actually looks like Robert Downey Jr.
its not perfect but it has a fair likeness.
the paint is a little off but not such a big deal it looks pretty cool.
