1st or 2nd Proto Michael Jackson thriller head?

I think it's the same head, the only difference is that the head in the teaser is angled down to make it look more serious. But you can still see the little dimples of his smile on the original sculpt from that angle too if you look close enough.

The smiling is good if you want to create an album cover.. or *maybe* the bit where he's singing to the girl as they walk.

But for the 'dancing with the zombies about to sing " ..'cause this is THRILLERRRR" ...look, it has to be the first one

hows about hot toys give us both heads.... the smiling... and the straight face... plus the zombie head.

they'll release a second version of the figure with the serious version and the werewolf head, they'll maybe throw in a letterman jacket like in the very begining of this vid...then just to make you want it even more, they'll add Pers (parallel eye Rolling system) you know how hot toys wants to own our credit cards...Im almost afraid to buy it, knowing almost certainly there's a new, better one around the corner

I personally prefer the smiling head. It just reminds me of when he starts singing after they leave the cinema and they're walking near the graveyard.

Why are people moaning about the smiling Head?
Most of you are going to pose Michael with the Zombie look with your Dead figures.

Well either head would be accurate to the clip; smiling towards the start, more serious during the dancing. So the only way HT can settle this is to issue all three heads - and I somehow doubt that, seeing as they are giving you 2 outfits & 2 heads.....

This figure is AMAZING!!!!
I vote for a combination of both. I like much similing face but I recognize that the normal face is more in line with thriller

Maybe the perfect figure would wear the dark brown skin look and big eyes of the normal face with the smiling gesture. It's a touch that I've done with photoshop

I think Rock83 has already done that. I honestly don't mind the smiling face but if HT's were to give us the original one i'd be happy with that too.

What if they released the "normal" head on a nude African American Truetype body? That way you get both heads and that nude figure will fill the other Thriller outfit. Perfect right? Two figures (1 with a interchangable expression) for only $225!

I really wish Hot Toys would shine some light on which MJ sculpt they will be using. To me it's a dealbreaker in purchasing the figure. I very much prefer the serious expression.
