:naughty I wonder if Shawn still makes this figure with this particular head sculpt. I bought this off of him 2 years ago.

I am so jealous of you :crying

but that IS the best Batman 89 figure ever! :rock

It doesn't look too much like Keaton which is good. Keaton didn't look like Batman to me...

The figure doesn't have too much articulation....still good though. I'm sure if HT makes one, it'd have more articulation and accessories.

better send a petition that hot toys makes it, like this thread was meant for

I sure hope your wrong 8th Wonder. :(

HT could really make a nice set of 89 Batman figures. I am curious to know what exactly is holding them back. Considering all the 80's figures they've been doing lately you'd think this would be close to the top.

Perhaps with the success of The Dark Knight - and continuing success of their TDK figures, Hot Toys haven't felt the need to delve into the world of other Batman movies just yet. After all, were they to make 89 figs now and sell them now, they would conflict with the sales of their already very profitable TDK line. Perhaps once the success of their TDK line is well and truly over they may consider moving on to other movie versions.... Just a thought.

I don't think this figure will ever be made, maybe the license is just to expensive or unattainable.

I have already posted somewhere in this tread somethinga bout the licence, that Hot toys HAS the batman licence.....there is no difference between the Nolan movies and the Burton movies, they are all under the same licence..

edit: here is that post I meant about the license that was obtained by hot toys for the Bat-franchise

"People had been reporting that the reason that HT had spent so much money is because they got a Master License for the Batman franchise. Meaning they could go back and do the prior films. Its been speculated that they'll go back once finished with TDK and revisit the prior films like they have with the Predator license so it'll be interesting if all of that gets flushed out. It'll also be interesting to see what likenesses they'll be able to use since a lot of that is after the fact and the actor's likeness agreements if any may not still be on the books over at WB"

That makes sense. Too bad they couldn't slip them in between films though.

I think that is the only logical explanation.

Why bring out a Keaton Batman while TDK film and collectibles have just hit the stores? + the Tumbler is still coming + there's the rumours of the DX batmn + the DX joker still has to come out.

So there are still items that hasn't been released yet and even in development (DX batman if true). With all that going on it would be strange to release the Keaton line :)

+ in 2012-2013 the 3rd installment of the Nolan batman wil come out, and I bet batman will have a new batmobile for that too :D
So if there are new things and/or characters in that movie, hot toys will also make figures - vehicles for that movie as well.

So I would say no where near 2014-2015 or later will we see a Keaton Batman, just because the current franchise is still going on.
But they still have the Batman-license, that is for sure.

So it will take another 3 years till another Nolan crapfest comes out, they could easily do it in those 3 years .

we all know now you are not a fan of the Nolan franchise ;)
but who know, his new batmobil in the 3rd movie will be even more sexy than the '89 batmobile :horror :D

Nothing beats the 89/returns batmobile!
