Which Predator is HT gonna make next?

From a company and manufacturers perspective, this could be seen as very profitable opportunity, as they get to milk out on the pred 2 mold, invest in small molds for the bio and those tiny bits and voila, they get another best selling figure in their line up.

Yeah, I doubt that they are gonna make any more scars, and quite frankly, those current AVPs movies doesn't excite me half as much as the original pred movies. hope they really have a solid story third time around. Something that involves the predator world and one of the clan elders in action!

He has the exact same armour as P2 just a different mask.

they probably wont. What decent director is going to want to touch this franchise now ?.

The only thing I think we can always expect from predator , alien and avp movies is pretty visuals and great suits for the creatures ( even if the designs suck they will probably look there best ).

The sad thing is that we keep buying more stuff to profit these movies.
After the original movies its hard to not like anything no matter how bad it is.

These aren't toys, they are collectibles. What's the point of collecting if they aren't rare? Just like stamps, they worth more when they are scarce. That's what makes collecting them fun and exciting.

Look at what mcfarlane did to their figures, they kept on reproducing up to the point where their old fans (me) just couldn't be bothered to keep up with their re-releases.

i can think of plenty of reasons besides rarity to collect these.

if you're just in it to get rich or brag about your possessions, then you're in the wrong racket.
i'd recommend classic cars. i own a couple and they're just terrific. a much better investment and girls love 'em.

I've only own a few of the newer ones, so I'm not in it to show off (since you lot here got more of the rarer ones!) And they certainly won't make you rich, but more likely to burn your wallet. So I'm not quite sure where you're getting those from.

I totally agree with your other point of views, but it would be ignorant to say that the scarcity has zero or nothing to do with people jumping on the predator bandwagon.

I agree with your first part only b/c of what I spent trying to collect these damn things I have nobody to impress with what I spend on toys, but it does suck to end up paying almost triple the price for a toy only to get it re-released, but it's part of collecting.

I'm not worried though b/c looking at HT's track record, they don't really re-release anything. (with the exception of Batman Begins fig, but that's a technicality) If anything, I would prefer newer Pred's be made, but after Pred 1, I don't really care if they end the line since he's THE one.

does anyone else think that HT's decision to not give the Lost Predator a proper name implies that he will be the only Lost Pred released? It would be safe to assume that more were coming if they had released a "Predator 2 Gort Predator" or "Predator 2 Boar Predator." However, labeling it as simply "Lost Predator," when there are clearly more than one lost predator, implies that they do not intend to produce more. After all, they gave proper names to their AVP preds: "Scar", "Celtic" etc. They didn't simply release a predator naming it "AVP Predator."

As for Predator, it is unlikely that HT would release the star characters of the Predator franchise(Dutch and Predator) before the rest of the crew. I know we have a lot of predator freaks on this board that would buy the entire crew, even that woman, but I'm really expecting to find Billy in the clearance section of most websites

If we get anything after Predator, Dutch, and Billy, it will probably be more of the "Expanded Universe."

and also the fact that the borg came with accessories from at least 2 other lost preds.
which tells me this is an all-inclusive semi-generic lost pred and ht is done with the line.

After PREDATOR is released, I could see them doing one or two more - but really, Hot Toys has given us some great collectibles myself, and so many of you love - with the amazing job they're doing on the first Predator, I think they should let this be it, and go out with a big bang.

They've virtually done everything with this franchise they can with the 1/6 stuff, I'd rather them NOT remake anything. To me, it would diminish what brought the line to where it is now.

There are dozens of extremely talented companies out there who have put out AMAZING Predator items, so it's not like (if you're a big fan) your collection HAS to stop. Shift gears, discover something else, and then something else, or hunt for what is missing in your Hot Toys collection.

Hell, Sideshow has said they are FAR from done with the AVP, Predator, and Alien licenses, so there is that to look forward to as well.

Yeah, there's a few they can make from the AVP comics: such as Broken tusk, shorty or Topknot.. I'm sure there's more but i have not read all of the AVP comics, yet..

I would love to get atleast another Lost pred.. Lost Pred (Ram) would be cool.. I like his Bio

I welcome them to make a few up on their own just to see what they can come up with. I think Preds in some other skin color ranges would look awesome. More Reddish or Albino. I am making an Albino custom regardless for myself just because I think that would look pretty sweet! Can't wait to start!:chew:chew:chew

Shorty I remember from the Dark Horse AVP comics with Machiko...he was the one she was sparring with. Nothing special about his design that I can recall.

I am honestly surprised they haven't done any stealth Predators yet. I mean, just cast them in clear plastic and instant variant!
