Awesome episode. This season just gets better and better and holy crap, next weeks episode looks epic. Doomsday, from the brief glimpse, looks just like the comics. The build to this episode has been so great, I just hope the payoff is as good as I hope.

Well, at least Jor-El didn't materialize and give Chloe the good-ole Amnesia Kiss to make her forget........ Am kind of bummed that she won't remember anything about Clark anymore. So know it's pretty much just Lana and Oliver that know anything about Clark now....and Lana's hopefully going to be gone for good in the next few episodes.
Don't know if I like the all boney/grey doomsday though. The show seems to have mostly had characters that are like their comic counterparts, but more based on reality. I would rather have Davis' eyes go red and just have him go on a rampage as himself. BUT, we'll see, I should be awesome regardless

I really liked this episode! One of the things that I enjoyed the most was how Brainiac took over Chloe. He methodically and systematically digitized all of her memories as she thought about them until nothing remained but Davis. Exactly how Brainiac would go about something like that.
Next week I have a feeling Clark isnt going to be the one to stop Doomsday though. It's going to be Chloe soothing the beast like Betty Ross Calms the Hulk or something along those lines. I just hope that they at least let Clark put up a hell of a fight before he goes down.
As for the look of Doomsday, I think he looked good but I agree a slow evolution into Doomsday would be cool. Unfortunately I doubt everyone will learn Doomsday's alter ego is Davis next week. So the transformation is also a plot device that prevents people from knowing who he is right away.

And? I was looking for a forum for Smallville - but when I visited there it was mostly about do-ey or chlo-my or the stupid romantic pairings so favored by the tween set.

I watched it tonight at work. I could see what was going on, but really couldn't hear the dialogue. I recorded it at home, and I'll watch it again tonight/tomorrow. Doomsday stayed mostly in shadows from what I saw. I couldn't see much since our T.V. here is an older one with a bad picture.

Everyone is being treated like an adult - which is so much more interesting than the teen angsty thing. Lana was very adult and kicking ass!
Doomsday looked good - keep him in the shadows and mysterious. I'm SO glad they didn't do the Cloverfield thing through the entire episode.
And did I not say that the first time we'd see Doomsday get spikey would be right before hiatus?
Who gets married in a barn? Man, those budget cuts must have been brutal!
The Legion in the teaser looked great! You can tell immediately who they are but the outfits aren't cheesy and look like they could be just modern street clothes.
