Snyder‘s trilogy was peak DCU for me personally. Regardless, I wouldn’t count on WB to produce anything that has the same love and care Snyder or Nolan had anytime soon. They don’t care for anything other than that cash and have been desperately trying to mimic what Marvel did, failing every step of the way. They’re completely creatively bankrupt at this point. But thats just my opinion and a whole different conversation haha
Worst part they’re trying to mimic a broken MCU at that. :slap

Haha, yeah, sorry, wasn't my intent to make it a DCU vs DCEU conversation :)

More the age old collector's dilemma - get this now or hope I like what comes next more :ROFLMAO:

Don't have the shelf space or money to keep starting over at this scale and price range.

I agree. Snyder’s films may have had their weak points, but no one can question how passionate he was about the characters and their stories. Plus his casting was just on the money. The trinity was perfectly cast, even if they didn’t necessarily get the best movies. I mean Affleck in BVS was just on the mark for a Frank Miller story.

I like Cavill so I'm gonna get this to honor and represent his time as Superman. Unless Hot Toys wants to one up InArt and release Superman from the Black Adam end credits scene, this will no doubt be the last high quality Cavill Superman figure.

I can't stand James Gunn, the fact he's in charge of the next Superman films and DC in general, is the worst possible outcome for me. No interest in any movies he's making.

Somebody tweaked the eyes. Much better.

Agreed, this is likely to be the last and best version of Cavill's Superman in this scale. If this was Black Adam Superman with the brighter MoS costume & better hair style I'd be even more tempted. Short as that cameo was it was great seeing Cavill again and arguably the best he's ever looked as Superman.

I'm the opposite on Gunn so I'm optimistic but this isn't the thread for that :)

Great synopsis. And I really like the MCU through Endgame, btw. Some of Phase 4 has been okay too, but since Endgame the MCU mostly lost its magic for me. But anyway, this is what the new DCU is trying to mimic now!

WB did give us the Nolan and Snyder trilogies (although only through fan pressure did they allow ZSJL to be released; and they released BvS into theaters with half an hour of it chopped). But most everything else has been a clear step below mid tier MCU.

I once said, if IA gives me DCEU, i will definitely PO..
I am keeping to my promise. Hope they will give me WW and Batfleck too.. hohoho..
Btw, still keeping my HTs, coz they are grail to me as well.

Oh yeah, I’m not selling my HT collection.

It’ll be interesting how many Snyderverse figures InArt does. E.g., will it make all six members of the JL? But regardless I’m hyped to get even just the trinity by them.

Well the original list was Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Black Adam, and (randomly since no Aquaman) Mera. I suspect Black Adam won't be happening now, and I'm doubtful on Mera, but they've mentioned Harley in the past and JL so I wouldn't be surprised to see Harley and the other Leaguers at some point if the trinity sell well.

TDK Batman was also on that initial list and they've mentioned TDKR Catwoman (and also possibly more from The Batman) but a lot of stuff just seems to be "is possible"/"would like to" type of stuff and they've really cooled off the announcements since that initial list was posted. But then they just showed Superman, Dune & Michael Jackson this week so maybe they're about to pick up the pace?

I’m not 100% sure if this is correct but apparently there’s some licensing issue with battfleck so i dont know if we’ll be getting that either 🫤 hopefully what I heard what wrong

Man if you can't plainly see the silver muscle suit under his BvS suit, then I don't know what to tell ya. You think those are purely Cavill's muscles? I'm not attacking you man, I'm just pointing out that your claim that he wore no silver muscle suit in BvS because you didn't see it in the behind the scenes is wrong.

I really hope the final body is more screen accurate. The musculature needs to be much more defined. Almost like there are muscle segments under a spandex like material. The hot toys bodies all look too soft.

I believe that’s just for The Flash merch and isn’t retroactive to the previous movies. I could be wrong but that was my understanding so far

The Batman was better than anything made by Snyder so....
