Speaking of KGH cancellation. Anyone around can share their experience on that matter. Thinking about cancelling long overdue item from them but they don't seem very responsive to my inquiries. Only mean of cancellation is going thru their sales email address, correct? Can't find any cancelling option on their site.
I’ve cancelled a couple with them recently and they give you it back in store credit. Unlike TW it seems the store credit is accumulated rather than being given in separate codes. I only paid deposits, not full price, so was only given 25% of the deposit price back. I think for full payment they keep 15% of the total.

I just emailed their customer support to cancel, but they’re incredibly slow to respond and not at all obliging. I might be in the minority but I find them worse than Toys Wonderland.

Thanks for the feedback. It does indeed fell like they are doing everything to slow down the process. Store credit sounds good though compared to loosing NRD. Crossing fingers i get that issue solved rapidly.

Their store credit is also applied to the next new order automatically in my experience.

That would be fantastic. I've been waiting for a couple items for 8+ months now. Grew tired of waiting and would likely find them discounted some place else now.

No worries, LogMan. :duff

Luckily, InArt are indicating that Gandalf will arrive pre-styled and set for display looking like this fresh out of the box- give or take a little displacement from the box getting chucked all over the place

You shouldn’t need much skill at all to keep it looking this good.
Even Asmus’ recent Gandalf the White barely required any work due to the hair being firmly set.

I’ve posted about it before so why not again? I was dead set on ordering any of these. Started with Aragorn and that would be it. Seen the latest pics of Gandalf. Tried to tell myself I’d be good with the Asmus one. Still held off. OSK said they got more stock. Lost the battle. Now I’m stuck knowing that I will probably get them all. Cannot wait forGandalf to get here.

InArt getting the LOTR license will never be a battle for me.

I'm in the same boat regarding Gandalf. I looked up my posts in this thread, and you can see how with every new set of pics, my conviction that I don't need him crumbles to pieces.

Prorotype pictures go up:
I'm incredibly conflicted about this release. The prototype blows the Asmus out of the water in pretty much every possible way: realism, proportions, drape of the clothing, the hat, ...
But like many other are saying, the price point is at a level where I really need to make decisions about my collecting habits. [...]
Assuming there will surely be *some* drop in quality from prototype to production for InArt, there are simply too many factors that result in me having to skip this - as amazing as it looks, and as much as I like the character.

$515 shipped for this vs $350 shipped for Asmus Crown Gandalf. Given the quality difference at prototype level the price difference seems justified.
Unfortunately I'm out, but congrats to all of you getting it! If InArt can pull this off in production, they will raise the bar for 1:6 mass produced figures.

[...] Long story short, if I had money to burn, I'd definitely upgrade. But for 200€+, I'd rather invest that money in a different figure instead. Gandalf is not as important to me, nor do I see a 200€+ price difference to be honest.

Convention pictures drop:
He looks great here!
I don't know if the saturation is cranked up in these shots, but I love the contrast and how all the different parts pop - the beard, face/skin tone, the belt and satchel, and the staff.

Production images drop:
With these latest production pics, I don't think I can skip this one anymore.
I was trying to hold on to the idea that once I customize my Asmus Crown Gandalf, I'll be happy enough with him. But this is just too much of an upgrade, and I don't think I could be happy with the Asmus one over time.

And... pre-ordered. Thanks @Kit Chen !

Changed my emote from a like to a smilie. You wrote down what I feel just did a much better job of explaining it

My impression was that they’re meticulously styled but demonstrating in these videos what to do if you need to futz with it after shipping despite their efforts to keep it intact. Im sure anyone who’s had a custom real hair job done had to do some slight tweaking after receiving it.

This sums up my experience as well! Although I was experiencing regret for the last several weeks at not getting in on the initial preorder. A couple weeks ago I finally got around to taking some pics of the Asmus figure with the improved hat… and while I do like the new hat actually, it started sinking in what an actually radical difference there’s going to be between Asmus and InArt. Plus having Aragorn on preorder already because…well, its realism is truly astonishing. So I was like darn! I was expecting to have to try to get it through an online dealer I use now to find figures that are hard to come by.

I really DON'T mind this delay at all regardless of what anyone will say. Give me quality, I can wait a few extra months.
I wish I could agree more but I really can't. Just do it right instead of asking for forgiveness after the fact. If quality means more time, that's absofruitly fine by me.
