It's a great price considering what's included. All the rooted custom 1/6 Joker sculpts I've seen have gone for around $800-$1000 (sometimes more) and that's for the sculpt work alone. Then you have to go for another $600 for a good tailored outfit from Yunsil/IRIS/Toribox.

Getting two full figures with two rooted sculpts for around $1000 is a great offering. This will be the one and done Ledger Joker figure to have on the shelf for many, myself included.

I like your justifications. Keep 'em coming.

Are they two completely different sculpts or is it just the hair that is different with the two packs?

Yea last Joker I had was DX01. Before that, like many, I had the original BR with the V1 clothing. Ended up giving my brother BR and selling the DX01 for an inflated price :lol always thought about a fancy custom but $1000 just for the sculpt was always insane to me (still is, for right now at least). But the super deluxe gives you basically two "custom level" figures for the price of 1 custom, rooted sculpt.

I was eyeballing a Ledger Joker head just the other day for crazy money. Now, 2x figures for the same price.

The price is great but I wish we had the option to just buy a rooted standard version.

Precisely.

The last Ledger Joker figure I bought was the original Bank Robber Joker. :lol

Always wanted a better one, but HT kept releasing more and more, every time I thought I'd pick one up people said another was on the way. So I never ended up getting any DXs, nor customs. For 14 years.

Having saved all that money on Jokers over the years, I figure I might as well splurge now.

Ive had all of them - and sold all of them. Once you love a character or performance so much, and see customs actually killing it, none of the HTs really scratched the itch anymore. I always wanted one of those damn Jokers and because of that I've gone from "nah" to "Weeell..." in 10 minutes thinking about the deluxe set.

I agree as I would have gone for that but it unfornately is what it is. They probably didn't want to offer 4 different packages.

Probably easier to deal with 2 sculpted versions that will be massed produced and then just focus on one core rooted set on it's own with a small window to preorder.

It's also a business strategy on their part so well played by them.

Another thing to consider is this is the first figure to raise the bar in 1/6th in a very long time. I mean, really change the game -- the rooted hair AND the sculpted hands/wrists.

Not to mention the apparent meticulous tailoring.

How far we've come right guys? I remember seeing this in person and being blown away.

Agreed. I'm halfway tempted to just get the standard and root the hair myself, since I've done that a couple times before. It's a major pain to do, but at the same time I'm just not sure I need a Ledger Joker bad enough to pay 1K for it...

I've had the DX11 twice as my only Ledger Jokers. First time was when it first came out and I loved it. And the second time was a couple years ago and it was underwhelming to me as a more 'experienced' collector I suppose. I've been wanting one of the customs, but never threw out the money for it. Figured I ought to not let this one pass by. Two figures for the price on basically one custom rooted sculpt. Hard to say no to that.

The rooted versions? absolutely. The standard version is pretty much what I expected, still looks amazing.

Truth be told as much as I like Ledger’s performance over time I’ve grown less fond of The Dark Knight. Had this come out a few years back even I may have been roped in by the ultimate version. Now though I have what I have and am content enough even though a new Joker is still tempting.

There was a custom painted Adam Gu sculpt on ebay (not rooted though) that was $400. Pretty sure the sculpt was one of the recasts, but paint still looked really good. I had it on my watch list for the longest time. I figured if the QS was way out pricewise, I'd get the TOPO suit set with that sculpt and call it a day. I looked this morning, and that sculpt was sold. In a weird way, I'm glad b/c even though this two pack is way more than I want to spend, for an official release and what your getting compared to having to source everything yourself AND ship it all over the place, the package as whole is really hard to beat.

Definitely.. the standard version alone raises the bar
